We’re looked at as livestock. As long as we’re young, productive, compliant and adding value to the “farm” you are fine. As soon as your production falls off, you don’t get put in a nice pasture to be celebrated for all you’ve added, you get sent to the sale for dog food.

Late one evening in 2003, Emma Thompson sat alone in her London flat, surrounded by the wreckage of a very public divorce
The press had been relentless. Her marriage to Kenneth Branagh had ended amid scandal, and the woman who'd won an Oscar for bringing Jane Austen's words to life couldn't find any of her own.
Then came a knock at the door.
Alan Rickman stood there holding a bottle of wine and nothing else—no advice, no pity, no expectations. He walked in, sat down, and stayed through the night. He didn't ask her to explain. He didn't tell her it would be okay. He just sat with her in the darkness, offering the rarest gift one human can give another: silent, judgment-free presence.
"You saved me without trying," Thompson later wrote to him. "And that's the kind of love I trust most."
Their friendship had begun years earlier during a 1980s stage production, when Thompson met a man whose fierce gaze and commanding silence intimidated most people. But she saw past the intensity to something tender underneath. "I recognized a fellow creature," she said, "one who felt deeply but rarely said as much."
By the time they filmed "Sense and Sensibility" in 1995, their bond had deepened into something rare in Hollywood—a friendship built on creative trust and emotional safety. While Thompson juggled the impossible pressure of starring in and adapting a beloved classic, Rickman quietly anchored her. "Alan had a way of being in the room that made you feel you belonged there too," she remembered.
What made their connection extraordinary wasn't grand gestures or public declarations. It was the accumulation of small, sacred moments. The long conversations about betrayal and forgiveness during "Love Actually." The way he never demanded she be strong when she was breaking. The trust that allowed complete vulnerability without fear.
Then, years later, Rickman fell ill. For a long time, he told almost no one about his cancer diagnosis. But Thompson knew. She noticed how he tired more easily, how his already quiet nature turned more introspective. One afternoon during a charity film shoot, he finally told her.
They stood in silence for several moments.
"Alright," she said simply. "Then we walk through this together."
In those final years, Rickman opened up in ways he never had before—sharing memories, regrets, and hopes with the one person he trusted completely. Thompson told him she had loved him from the beginning, though they'd never crossed the lines of friendship.
He laughed. "You would've ruined me."
"No, Alan," she replied. "I would've healed you."
When Rickman died in 2016, Thompson released a letter calling him "the truest of friends." Their bond had never been about celebrity or performance. It had been real, raw, and sacred—a story written in glances, in trust, in the knowledge that some people don't come into your life to dazzle you, but to hold a steady light.
Thompson keeps one of his handwritten notes tucked in her wallet: "Always speak the truth. It costs less."
And she still visits their favorite café, orders two teas, and talks to him like he's still listening—because the truest friendships never really end.
They just change form, becoming something even more permanent: memory transformed into grace, loss transformed into gratitude, and silence transformed into the loudest kind of love.

Molti anni fa era innamorato di me.»
Churchill sorrise, compiaciuto: «Pensa, cara. Se lo avessi sposato, oggi saresti la moglie di uno spazzino.»
Clementine lo guardò e, senza perdere la calma, rispose: «Ti sbagli, Winston. Se avessi sposato lui, oggi sarebbe lui il Primo Ministro.»

The sickening stories keeping coming in…😢😢😢
SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub.
Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out you’re going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ⚾️💙💛
The excitement. The anticipation. The memories you’re already imagining making.
Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently can’t deliver.
That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now.
We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation.
Everything was supposed to be set.
Then suddenly, StubHub tells us they’re “searching for replacement options” because they can’t provide the tickets we purchased.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
How does a company accept someone’s hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they can’t fulfill it?!
And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT THE MONEY.
It’s about the experience. It’s about the memories. It’s about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball.
Look at the first picture. That’s the disappointment you’re creating, StubHub.
A refund doesn’t replace that moment.
And here’s what really bothers me…
StubHub advertises a “FanProtect Guarantee” and tells customers their orders are “100% guaranteed.”
Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?!
Because from where we’re sitting, that guarantee doesn’t feel worth much when you can’t deliver the tickets you sold us.
We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee.
Now it’s time for StubHub to make it right.
We aren’t asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost.
Stubhub…DO BETTER.
Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission.

🚨 BREAKING: Nick Shirley just went FULL THROTTLE at the EPIC Islamic Center in Texas.
He showed up to film. Peacefully.
They didn’t debate him.
They didn’t welcome questions.
They hunted him down on their property and told him to get out.
A Muslim man follows him, pointing, demanding:
“Are you a Muslim?! This is NOT for you.”
Not “this is private property.”
Not “please stay on the sidewalk.”
Straight up: You’re not one of us. Leave.
Nick didn’t flinch. Camera rolling the entire time.
This isn’t a misunderstanding.
This is the mask slipping.
They built it. They control it.
And they just told America, on camera, that parts of Texas are off-limits unless you convert.
Cohabitation?
They just said the quiet part out loud.
Watch every second. This one is going to travel.

I have a serious question.
Democrats are anti-oil & natural gas.
How does supporting the democrats bring down the prices of gas & electricity when they are against drilling?
Something deeply wrong with Talarico
James talarico headlined a Pride event alongside an 11-year-old child drag queen named "Kween Kee Kee."
One attendee posted video of the young boy doing the splits.
Another performance was by an adult man who goes by the raunchy name "Sedonya Face."
The event touted more than 30 kids in attendance. #TXsen

The image of the person deciding the future of the United States. (Yeah... I don't remember electing her either.)
Say "Hello" to Danielle M. Reiff: Retired U.S. diplomat who spent roughly 20 years with USAID. She and her friends know better than you about how the country should be run.
You better get to know her and pay attention to what she and her comrades are doing.

France has FREE health care, paid parental leave, paid family leave, FREE child care, FREE preschool, 5 weeks paid vacation, a 35 hour work week, generous unemployment and housing benefits, and heavily subsidized higher education.

ALERT TEXAS: ENEMY WITHIN!
They’re Islamizing Texas BBQ Itself - James Talarico’s Halal Photo-Op Spits in the Face of Texas Traditions
James Talarico showed up at Kafi BBQ in Irving for the photo-op: the media-praised “halal take on Texas barbecue.”
The Iraqi-heritage pitmaster, wagyu brisket, Iraqi-spiced sausage, fully zabihah-compliant menu.
Southern Living and Texas Monthly sold it as progress. Halal brisket is being presented as the new Texas tradition, and the candidate is there to endorse it.
Standing beside him is radical State Rep. Salman Bhojani, the Pakistani-born Democrat from Euless who has made expanding Islamic accommodations his signature issue.
He has pushed optional state holidays for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, blocking STAAR and other exams on Islamic holy days, expanding who can officiate marriages to include imams, and forcing Muslim private schools into the state’s education savings account/voucher program.
He launched a "Religious Freedom Caucus" that frames any pushback on the Islamic takeover of Texas as an attack on faith.
This is the same Bhojani Talarico has sat with on podcasts, praising how “Islamic mystics” and Rumi shaped his faith “as much as Christian authors,” while calling Christian nationalist visions a threat.
The Muslim Democratic Caucus of Texas is fully behind him. Its longtime leader and board member Palestinian M. Emad Salem - from Ramallah, co-founder of the Texas Progressive Caucus, former SDEC committeeman, three-time DNC delegate, has run mosque voter-registration drives at Mansfield Islamic Center, Colleyville Mosque, and Green Oaks Masjid.
Salem sits on the board of United Hands Relief, the Arlington 501(c)(3) that faced House Ways and Means scrutiny and researcher reports over a former treasurer convicted of material support to Palestine Islamic Jihad and partnerships with Gaza groups linked to Hamas infrastructure. He has publicly called Israeli operations “genocide,” backed arms embargoes and right-of-return language, and helped drive the 2026 Texas Democratic platform shifts that cut offensive arms sales to Israel and recognized the Nakba.
This is the organized network of progressive Democrats and Muslim caucus figures with documented ties to groups under terror-financing scrutiny lining up behind the candidate who treats Islamic influence on Texas politics and culture as a feature, not a bug.
They’re not just campaigning. They’re rewriting Texas, starting with its most sacred food.
Texas voters can see it for themselves. Stop the Islamic and Marxist takeover of your state!

I honestly do not understand how any American who is not already a literal Communist or a literal Jihadist could vote Democrat after hearing what Slotkin said below.
This is LITERALLY totalitarianism. It's not the fake "fascism" the Left likes to accuse the Right of, it is the REAL THING.
Undeniably.
Irrefutably.
This is a sitting member of Congress who was in the CIA saying that dissent from what she believes will result in imprisonment.
This is straight out of Solzhenitsyn. Straight out of Orwell. This is something an early Nazi would have said in 1932 under the Weimar Republic.
Please please PLEASE share her words with everyone you know. The Democrat/Media Complex will try to bury this. It is up to us on social media, on blogs and via texts and emails to get the word out.
The only way to stop these monsters is to make sure that voters who don't really keep up on politics understand the actual threat, see it with their own eyes and hear it with their own ears.
Please. Spread the word to anyone who will listen. And even those who won't listen.
ON UCHICAGO CAMPUS: U.S. Senator from Michigan Elissa Slotkin hopes planned political prosecutions of republican leaders will scare young conservatives from getting involved in politics.
