I was bored so i made this today.
Custom character with "Roblox style" UI in #UEFN
You can walk around and interact with the HUD at the same time.
Holding right mouse button u can look around you.
The character has procedural animation, collision and footstep sounds.
I’ve been a full-time Fortnite dev for 2+ years. Honestly, I’m exhausted.
I update Mic Up almost every 1 or 2 weeks. But lately I spend more time fighting moderation and bugs than building.
Moderation first. A dirt decal on a bathroom floor got sanctioned as “blood”. So did wood splinters from a knife landing in a table. Both appeals declined. Icebreaker questions like “what’s your favorite color?” got my map taken offline twice for “asking for private info”. I was told it wasn’t against the rules. It only stopped after I went to someone higher up at Epic.
My last “violation” even changed 3 times in 5 minutes. Exploit + blood, then exploit only, then blood only. What is moderation even doing?
Meanwhile Discover has been full of spam maps and skin & pickaxe changer exploit maps for years. Focus on that instead of punishing genuine creators.
And Discover itself got worse too. The new look is nice, like Netflix. But removing CCU and adding a Top 10 was a bad decision. Players want to see player counts, and new maps need more ways to be discovered. Give us a Top 10 Up-and-Coming instead.
Then the bugs. Proximity chat is the core of my game. It broke 4 times in 2 years, and every fix took months. It’s still buggy today. It cost me 50% of my player base. Every Fortnite update, I’m scared of what breaks next.
Every takedown and bug costs my team real income, and enough wrong calls can get my account suspended over things that were never against the rules.
The community we built is the only reason I keep going.
No hate against Epic, I love working in UEFN. But their decisions and communication with creators need to improve.
@FNCreate
Epic Games told me to submit all asset links and a banner PSD for featured banners.
I paid for the banner PSD and gathered every link, but the day I went to submit, they said banner submissions were stopped...
Really would have appreciated advance notice on this. 🤦♂️

I knew it was only a matter of time before this type of stuff made its way onto FAB.
It’ll be interesting to see how long @FNCreate and Epic allow these types of systems to remain on the marketplace.
They already struggle to manage the spam problem in Discovery, and now they’re making it even easier for people to access tools that could make things worse.
It genuinely sucks watching a platform you’ve poured your heart into continue opening itself up to more problems instead of addressing the ones already hurting its creators, especially when these changes introduce even more opportunities for abuse.
Added something cool to Mic Up.
Connected the AI conversations Epic games provided
and linked it to a spirit board (Ouija board)
You can now talk to the spirit, ask questions, and it will respond to you trough the board.
(forgot to record my mic, so i just filled that part with tts)

I was watching this video about games I loved as a kid, and it made me realise how genuinely limiting UEFN's Virtual Pointer feature is when we don't have access to mouse move/hover events. We can detect mouse movement while holding the button down, but not before, which I find strange, preventing us from indicating to the player when something is clickable.
Could we please have an update on this @FNCreate? I understand that the reason provided in the past refers to feature parity and mobile not technically having an ability to "hover." But this problem was already solved years ago on the web, and as the quoted tweet shows it's clearly been solved in UEFN too with UMG widget hover events, which can be sent to Verse.
It also feels extremely inconsistent given the fact that we can now detect the player's input method/platform, and the sheer number of features that are already heavily catered to mobile. At worst, this single feature being disabled on mobile, while having some guidelines around how Epic thinks it should be used, doesn't feel like a crazy solution.
Give your custom shop UI a little extra polish ✨

Hey @FNCreate Discovery genre tabs seem broken since yesterday.
Our island had the highest player count in Roleplay & Social but dropped from #3 → #44 → #51.
Looks like it's happening across most genres. high player count maps pushed to the end, low ones to the front.
Lots of creators reporting the same. Can this be looked at?

Hey @FNCreate, why does this keep happening in the genre tabs?
Here are 4 examples from roleplaying & social, including a map I co-create on, and they keep going between #70 and #10. These maps have hundreds/thousands of players and should never go to #70.
Is this a bug?
Btw why updating your map downrank it?? I updated my map for a really small fix and immediately went from top10 to top100 @FNCreate ???
if it’s not a bug, it’s a big problem in any case.

To be completely honest, I have zero faith that @FNCreate will actually do anything about any of this.
Creators have been speaking up about issues like this for years. None of this is new, and none of it has been difficult to see.
We have been promised better enforcement, better systems, and meaningful change for years, yet the same problems continue with very little actually improving.
At some point, promises of change stop meaning anything when the results never follow.
Hey @FNCreate,
This is the kind of account network that should be identified and investigated internally when dealing with repeat problem creators.
If creators can piece together connections like this using only the limited information available through public facing APIs and platform data, imagine what could be identified with the tools and information available internally.
As I mentioned in my previous posts, I’ve now been contacted by multiple creators who have been documenting these accounts, map transfers, publishing patterns, and other connections linking them back to the same creator.
The video attached is only a simplified visualization of what has already been documented.
Creators should not have to spend this much time independently investigating account networks and compiling evidence just to get persistent platform abuse properly reviewed.
