ATIKU ABUBAKAR: BEYOND POLITICS — A SERIES ON LEADERSHIP, GOVERNANCE, BUSINESS AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT How much do Nigerians really know about Atiku Abubakar beyond his presidential ambitions and political affiliations? What did he contribute to governance as Vice President of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007? What role did he play in the economic reforms of that period? How did he build his private business interests? And what has his investment in education and youth development contributed to the lives of Nigerians? In this series, we will examine Atiku Abubakar’s journey from public service to business, his role in the Obasanjo administration, his entrepreneurial endeavours, his investment in education through the American University of Nigeria, and his broader vision for Nigeria’s development. We will also examine the controversies, criticisms and unanswered questions surrounding his career. My objective is simple: to move beyond political slogans, explore the available evidence, and encourage an informed conversation about Wazirin’s footprints in leadership, enterprise, education and national development.

I have listed H.E Atiku's stand on all the proposals included in my tweet for a post 2027 election future. I would really love some of our northern brethren who have reservations about these to reconsider because they are proposals based on the need for a better and prosperous Nigeria. Every serious candidate proposes this because they know that what currently obtains will not serve Nigeria and Nigerians. It is not a Tinubu thing. I believe in a lot of Atiku's ideas despite being on a different side of the election; this is why I supported him in the past and unlike some other unfortunate ventures, I have never ever regretted my support for H.E Atiku. Our paths differ because of the need to respect the zoning arrangement. However, it is important to understand the proposals of each candidate so that we do not accuse any one candidate of seeking to isolate the north. Thanks and God bless. 🙏🏽
When i posted this tweet, I saw a conversation between some of our brethren in the north that we are pushing to "isolate the north". This is farthest from the truth. Infact, these proposals are also part of my respected elder H.E Atiku Abubakar's proposal for the future of Nigeria. This is H.E Atiku's proposal for regionalism. 🙏🏽

Not an aviation guy but yesterday's Florida crash got me thinking Tesla's new Roadster uses SpaceX thrusters to flip mid air, could small thrusters like that help a jet catch itself in the first seconds of losing control?

The Era of ‘Bambiala Politics’ in SE Must End Now !!! I must use this medium to respectfully express my utmost disappointment with Prof Charles political strategy. In a statement today, Prof rationalise his commitment to support the failed president @officialABAT reelection with arguments that falls flat on its own dead weight First, to express concern over the emotional politics attributed to our regional support for the candidacy of @PeterObi and the need for political alignment at the center, Prof wrongly cited the politics of Zik and Ekwueme, the two highest political achievers from the East This is a wrong citation because Zik and Ekwueme did not play a politics of the center in the same way Prof is inferring. These men got to the center by forging credible political alliance that won power at the center and formed a government. The approach Prof employs today is rather different; be supportive of the current holders of power at the center, and hope that they will be magnanimous enough to grant access or transfer this power out of their sheer goodwill I understand that there is no singular approach to skin a cat, however, the problem with this particular approach employed by @CCSoludo today is that it has been applied before by a certain Gov Rochas and Gov Umahi who supported other APC admin at the center and at the end; did we get railways or gas pipelines in the East as the outcome? For further context, the champions of this formula Prof applies today are still in APC begging for power and access to the center, hence why Prof must not jump on the train of this losing political formula to join the SE begging queue in APC. It is a disaster that will ultimately end in tears On the other side of the bambiala politics is Peter Obi who seemed like he gets the winning political philosophy of Zik and Ekweme by forging an alliance with the north in ADC, but somehow bungled it. Ashamedly, Peter resorted to begging for the presidential ticket rather than fight for it like the political lions Zik and Ekwueme would have done, and ended up moving to a fringe third-wheel party that assented to his ticket-begging and granted it to him even without any winning chance So my point here Prof is, if we are interested to be participants of power at the center, then we must build intentionally rather than beg every 4-years cycle. Case in point is the current president Tinubu who tried to align with the PDP power at the center but felt his region wasn’t getting enough as it should. Hence, rather than keep begging, he built by forging political alliances that mainstreamed his region as a major player at the center and the rest is history That said, the politics you propose that our region play today is not novel and it is not working. Today, Mbah is begging, Otti is begging, Uzodinma is begging, Nwifuru is begging, and you too seem to be advocating for the same bambiala politics. If you must be the next political leader from the SE, then you must do better, except your regular caution about our style of politics were mere rhetorics, but I hope not That said, I advise you think big, like Ekwueme, Zik and Tinubu had done. Do the rigour to forge a mainstream political alliance, build and win power at the center, rather than the rag-tag lazy approach of aligning with owners of power at the center or beg for ticket in any fringe political party willing to offer, and hope crumbs and goodies fall to us as compensation In conclusion, we have a solid regional bloc to be major stakeholders in a mainstream political party. APC has shown no appetite to allow SE be a major power bloc within the party and we can’t beg our way through it. We must forge our own path, and if you must be that new North Star to lead the charge, then you must change your approach by quitting this bambiala politics Finally, the ADC is a virgin and fertile ground with all required ingredients to commence this SE political rebirth and rebuilding, and we must key in now!

THE MESSAGE OF ATIKU TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF EDO STATE IS CLEAR! Atiku has made it clear that religion and ethnicity should not define our political conversations. The priority of responsible leadership should be addressing the collective challenges confronting our people and building a better society for all. His vision focuses on economic revival, improved security, quality healthcare, stronger agriculture and affordable living. A society where insecurity is tackled decisively, where kidnappers have no safe haven and where no citizen is forced to live in fear or flee into the bushes for safety or any leader entering the bush chasing kidnappers. A healthcare system where mothers can give birth safely, where pregnant women receive proper medical attention and where no life is put at risk because of inadequate healthcare facilities. A society where fake, substandard and harmful products have no place, whether imported or manufactured locally, and where anyone found violating the law is held accountable. An agricultural sector where farmers are supported, production is expanded, food security is strengthened and the cost of living becomes more affordable for ordinary families. Our people deserve leadership that prioritises solutions over division, development over empty promises, and the welfare of citizens over political differences. The conversation should be about jobs, security, healthcare, food, economic opportunities and a better future for the next generation. The future of Edo State and Nigeria deserves a conversation centred on development, unity and the well-being of every citizen. Join the conversation with @atiku and the Atikulate Movement (EDO chapter). - Iye Capacity Leader of the oppressed.

None of Atiku’s children are gay. Such an act is against the laws of our land and contrary to our religious and moral values. Nigerians cannot afford to have an alcohol manufacturer as president, with a son whose is allegedly gay. It would have too much of a negative influence on our younger generation.
Listen to how Atiku’s children treat their staffs. Atiku is bad market 😂

It is important for Nigerians to understand that there is only one clear alternative in this election to Mr Tinubu. And that is Atiku. You don’t even have to like the guy personally . He is the only one who has a plan to end the cost of living crisis . One key issue that most important to all of us . Peter Obi can not be your alternative . Whatever your affinity with the guy is , he is not equipped to solving the cost of living crisis as he has vowed to continue MR Tinubu’s policies of subsidy removal and naira devaluation . We have a rare chance in 2027 to self correct and take back this country !

Technocrat and policy engineer! I no dey support nonsense! @atiku is the most competent man on the ballot for 2027, he knows how to get the job done from day1!
No rent dispute should ever end in blood, and I urge calm on all sides. Yet the viral scenes from Benin City speak to a pain that young renters across Nigeria know well: sudden increases, arbitrary charges, and nowhere fair to turn. I will require states to adopt wage-reflective tenancy laws, regulate excessive upfront rent demands, set clear rules for rent increases and evictions, and create fast, accessible dispute resolution for landlords and tenants alike. A roof over one’s head should not be a battlefield. -AA

Thanks for calling our attention to this matter. When PO comes a distant third in January, whoever wins between BAT and Atiku will ensure that those who plan to ignite any chaos are crushed by the full weight of the government.

If not for the short-sightedness of the core North, today's calamity would have been avoided In 2019, after the obvious failure of Buhari, the rest of the country decided to vote for Atiku/PO, but they along with evil SW APC said NO In 2023 cos of religion, they voted for BAT
