Never thought I would see KENTUCKY FOOTBALL beat Texas A&M, South Carolina, and Oklahoma ON THE ROAD in the same season! Amazing start for Will Stein! #BBN
EVERYONE on the Six Flags board of directors who signed off on the decision to cut the maintineance budgets and/or is not letting John Reilly increase the maintineance budgets needs to resign from their position and leave the company IMMEDIATELY! Arrest Zimmerman/Selim TOO!
If Six Flags current leadership team is serious about gaining people's trust and bringing their reputation back to the good side, at this point they HAVE to retire the Six Flags name completely! Even at Over GA and TX. Come up with new names for those parks!
At this point we need to start preparing ourselves for the possibility that ArieForce One may not get built at all and will either sit and collect dust in a warehouse or will get sold again to another chain. You can't spend money building new rides when bankrupt
My heart absolutely breaks for the victims and their families and all the witnesses of today's incident at Six Flags Over Georgia on Goliath. I can't imagine how traumatic it was witnessing an incident like this. If you start struggling please don't hesitate to seek help!
If today's incident on Goliath is due to Six Flags' maintineance budget being slashed then EVERYONE on the board needs to resign! The CEO even admitted during a conference call that the budget for maintineance needs to be increased! Wouldn't shock me if Reilly has his hands tied
As more time passes from when the Six Flags merger happened the more I wish we as a community came together to try and Schiano Sunday the merger! We all knew it would be a disaster but the boneheads on both boards thought it was a good idea!
Hug your loved ones today and tell them you love them you never know when it could be your last chance
ACE Eastern Great Lakes Winter Celebration is being held NEXT TO Kings Island and on the itinerary for presentations there is no mention of KI representatives yet there's reps from some of KI's main competitors! Inexcusable from KI to not at least send some sort of rep for a Q&A
The X2 situation is basically the equivilent of the Son of Beast situation in 2009. The park got clearence to operate it but the park GM wasn't comfortable operating it bc the reputation to the public was it was unsafe and one minor hiccup was front page news.
Finally I want to express my sincere thoughts and prayers to the victims and families of those involved in the incidents on this ride which led to this unfortunate situation. Just want you to know I'm thinking of you guys here and life is about more than a coaster.
To wrap this all up I want to thank the Magic Mountain team for being as professional as they can about this situation and making the right call here. I can't imagine what the team here at MM is going through. A decision like this is not an easy decision.
It just doesn't make sense to try and upstage the addition of Thrill Glider by announcing another coaster for the following season or season after before Thrill Glider even opens. You risk people holding off their visit so they can ride both.
I however do not believe ArieForce One will go there. First of all they already have Twisted Colossus which is the same exact model as AF1. Second of all AF1's 2nd home is supposed to be announced later this year and MM is getting Thrill Glider next year. It doesn't make sense.
The land X2 sits on is prime land right next to the entrance road to the park. It is the first thing you see when driving into the park. Whatever goes there has to be a perfect first impression similar to what X2 was.
While a very sad situation all around, it just makes sense to pull the plug now and look toward the future. Now they're getting Thrill Glider next year so I would expect the land to sit vacant for a while like Vortex at KI. However I think they'll replace it when time & $ allows
Attempting to reopen the ride would imo have been a huge slap in the face to the families and victims of those affected by this ride. The stock at Six Flags is already in the dumps bc of this situation and reopening the ride would only have made things worse.
