Introducing Grok 4.6. It delivers frontier intelligence and is a significant improvement over Grok 4.5 at the same price.

c. 100 baptisms in St Dominic’s in San Francisco tonight The most in the parish’s 150 year history Up 35% on last year even (which was also a record) The faith is alive here in San Francisco and if history is anything to go by, what happens in SF, follows on to the rest of the country

Software Engineering Expectations for 2026 - The majority of your code should be written by AI now - Cursor/Codex/Claude Code/Gemini/etc - You should try all the tooling and switch between them, as each one gets an edge over the others depending on the release cycle. - You should be using AI to check the code that is written by AI - Have AI write tests - Have AI read logs - Have AI navigate your browser - I don't do this every time because sometimes it's simple enough to check it myself - You should still skim code changes - This can be a lighter skim on internal tools and a heavier read through on customer facing code - Use AI to help you define specs

round 1 - smile for the mindless HR round 2 - leetcode low or medium round 3 - systems design about an irreal scenario round 4 - leetcode medium or high round 5 - team chat about a project round 6 - hiring manager check then go fuck yourself im not posting this because i cant do it but we have in tech right now people who specialize in this rather than on how to be a good engineer, dev or programmer - and those people bounce from company to company doing nothing and just learning how to interview better, they dont care software is shit nowadays, nobody cares, HR has won and big companies keep getting worse but nobody can’t do anything because they have monopolies

I re-interview our best performers. I set time aside to understand why they ramp faster, ship faster, understand customers better. Recently I got one of the best compliments about our organization. This engineer came from a really good startup. He joined when they were 20 people and left when they were 50. But he said that at Vercel, despite being over 10x the size, *he can ship faster than at the smaller startup*. Better infrastructure (dogfooding @vercel) and less bureaucracy, especially around picking up projects and marketing your work. I think this should be the norm moving forward. Companies can only grow headcount proportional to provable velocity increase. Big companies that move slow are not good for the world.

He changed frontend engineering forever. The Satoshi of UI. No one knows his whereabouts or his real name. He didn't ship a component system, he shipped a system to ship component systems.

Today I'm finally ready to announce that my time at Generation Esports has come to an end as I was impacted by the layoffs last week. It was one of the greatest times of my life so far and I'll take all of that experience with me to my future. I wish the best of luck to the GenE team for the future! At GenE I was a fullstack engineer with a specialty in backend and DevOps, but through my position as the sole engineer on the competitive product I have experience in all areas from frontend development to cloud infrastructure engineering to business intelligence tool development. As a lead on multiple projects including some with external stakeholders I also have experience with project management and planning as well. If anyone knows of any available opportunities for my skillset, especially if they're in the gaming or esports industries, please reach out through my DMs (open) or in the replies. More information about my work experience and resume are available on my website eksmith.dev Even if my next role isn't in esports I'm looking forward to continuing to contribute to the space. I'm not going anywhere!

It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.

Friends, we return now to Ordinary Time, and this Sunday, the Church gives us such a fundamentally important reading from the third chapter of the book of Genesis, which is about the fall. To return to this story—written, under God’s inspiration, with stunning perceptiveness—is to discover again the nature and basic dynamics of sin.
