Vaccines are among the most thoroughly studied, effective tools we have to protect children from serious vaccine-preventable diseases. Decisions about how and when vaccines are used should be driven by rigorous scientific evidence, patient safety, and independent medical and public health expertise. Altering a proven vaccination schedule without credible evidence risks weakening public confidence and putting childrenās health at risk.
If you have questions about vaccines, talk to your childās physician. Putting our childrenās health at risk is not an option

My op-ed is out today on @MSNOWNews Daily about the U.S. health care cliff: "Iām an ER doctor. I know what the end of ACA subsidies will mean."
Doctor vs groceries is not a real choice. When people delay care, they hit the ER later and sicker.

In Lefrak City yesterday, we stood with members of @1199SEIU and the Healthcare Education Project to make one thing unmistakably clear: Queens will not sit quietly while Washington rips healthcare away from our families.
The āOne Bigā bill is the largest healthcare cut in American history and its impact will hit immigrant, working-class, and multigenerational neighborhoods like ours first and worst.
Weāre talking about 1.5 million New Yorkers losing coverage. Weāre talking about half a million lawful permanent residents losing the Essential Plan. Weāre talking about rising premiums that force families to choose between medicine and rent.
But here in Queens, we take care of each other.
We organize.
We fight back.
And we defend healthcare as the human right it is.
Thank you to 1199, HEP, and every advocate, parent, elder, neighbor, and healthcare worker who raised their voice. This is only the beginning and weāre in it together. ššŖš½
