Living my best life writing cookbooks (x5!) and getting Democrats elected. Sorry, not sorry for the number of Taylor Swift tweets. She/Her. 🏳️‍🌈

During my first pregnancy, Cathy Nolan passed along this article about the early days of women serving in the Legislature. She shared stories about a time when mothers in public office were often met with doubt. Her message to me was simple: we can be both. Cathy carried that belief throughout her career. She was a leading champion of New York’s Paid Family Leave law, making it possible for families across our state to care for loved ones without sacrificing their livelihoods. I will always be grateful for her encouragement and the example she set for so many of us. Rest in Power.

They call it "common sense." We call it BS.
Wow – @lawler4ny claims in a new op-ed that the drastic Medicaid cuts he voted for are "actually common-sense reforms." There is NOTHING common-sense about voting for the largest Medicaid cut in history that would rip away health care from New Yorkers.

In Albany, we'd call it a Big Ugly
NEWS: 16 MILLION people will lose health care because of the GOP’s Big Beautiful Betrayal. Millions of children, seniors, people with disabilities, and working families will lose their health care. Outrageous.

What radicalized me? Pretty sure it was this. I still remember recording it on my little toy radio that could only hold one thing at a time, just so I could listen to it whenever. youtu.be/zKmjugef80w?feature…

He’s adorable. I’d let him baptize my kid.
The Vatican has published a photo of the newly-elected Pope Leo XIV taken just outside the Pauline Chapel.

A national security kerfuffle of this magnitude sends a clear signal that MAGA isn't qualified to keep us safe. Hegseth, Vance, and Waltz should be investigated - and resign 👊🇺🇸🔥

Does anyone remember the game show where people had to answer trivia questions while John McEnroe pelted them with tennis balls? That’s what this last month has felt like.

New York hasn't had a King since July 4, 1776 and no one is going to change that - especially not Trump and his sycophantic GOP
"CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!" –President Donald J. Trump

Last week, a New York doctor was indicted for helping a patient in Louisiana. We can't sit back and watch this happen. New laws signed today will protect both doctors and patients. cbs6albany.com/news/local/go…

From a photo op perspective, it's much easier to make a crowd contained in the rotunda appear big than it is to make one on the National Mall seem that way. Let's not forget how embarrassing those 2020 photos were.
