It's hard to believe that Nabeel Qureshi died 9 years ago today. He was such a great friend to me and my entire family, and a faithful follower of Christ. Hi, friends. Earlier this week I lost my father, friend, and much-loved mentor, O. H. "Mitt" Mittelberg. He was 98 years old, had been a devout follower of Jesus for almost 8 decades, and he was beyond ready to go home to his Savior (and to my mom who died 6 years earlier).
We're very sad at his loss, but also thankful that he has graduated to the heavenly home he was so confident of (see John 14:1-4, 1 John 5:11-13). If you'd like to know more about this wonderful man, I talk about him in both the Confident Faith and Contagious Faith books—as well as in the obituary linked below.
Hug your loved ones today, friends. Really cherish them in ways they can see and feel. God's most important gifts to us are his offer of eternal life through Christ and the people he surrounds us with. And the only thing we can take with us into heaven is... people. 🙏🏼❤️
