Today is Romani Resistance Day.
On this day, 16th May 1944, Roma and Sinti people in Auschwitz-Birkenau resisted Nazi soldiers, delaying executions in the βGypsy Campβ for several months.
We honour the bravery and strength of all the Roma and Sinti people.
