The same men who say
"this jollof is killing me",
"my boss wants to kill me with work"
and
"Arsenal will be the death of me"
have suddenly discovered the dictionary because a woman described pregnancy as a death sentence.
You understand figures of speech perfectly. You just don't like it when a woman uses one to describe something that actually kills her.
Nigeria accounts for more than a quarter of all maternal deaths in the world.
So no, it's not "definitely die". But it's a gamble with her life every single time, and she's the one taking the risk while you argue about vocabulary.

I think I figured it out!
Why this government treats us with so much recklessness.
You know how in toxic relationships, the toxic person keeps the victim hooked by breadcrumbing them?
They give you the very worst, so you lose track of what is normal, so when they give you the bare minimum, it feels like an improvement.
They push the bar of "normal" lower and lower until the bare minimum feels like a luxury.
I’m thinking this because, we all know light has never been the most impressive at any time in Nigeria, but we can make do with whatever in this heat.
The average wicked person would’ve left you with the “normal” light supply without making any attempts to improve it in lieu with the recent climate change.
But these are not your average wicked people.
What do they do? Make it even worse. Suddenly light is worse than before. And grid is not even down!!! So why is light suddenly so bad???
They intentionally starve us of the bare minimum so that they can dangle the bare minimum before us as “effort” and “improvement” when the time comes!
In 2026, candidates are using “steady light” as a manifesto! Why won’t they? If you’re not used to 24/7 light, even a 12/7 light promise will seem like an improvement!

ENUGU STATE: LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE AND BUILDING A UNITED NIGERIA
Following yesterday’s (29th October) town hall meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, I proceeded to Enugu State, where we held another town hall meeting as part of our ongoing nationwide engagement.
I was joined by my brother and Vice Presidential Candidate of our party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In Enugu, we met with our teeming supporters and enthusiastic citizens who lined the streets and besieged the venue in their numbers.
In our conversations, including the contributions from our Vice Presidential Candidate and me, we reiterated our commitment to uniting and securing the country, tackling corruption, massively investing in critical areas of development, particularly health and education, and pulling our people out of poverty.
Shortly before the town hall event, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu Chapter, where we reaffirmed our commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Leadership must be about listening to the people. Those seeking to lead must understand what Nigerians need and be willing to receive feedback on the impact of government policies and decisions.
I thank our teeming supporters, party members and organisers for their dedication and commitment. I also thank the good people of Enugu State for their warm reception.

EBONYI STATE: SECURITY, CORRUPTION, NATIONAL UNITY AND THE DIGNITY OF EVERY NIGERIAN
My grassroots sensitisation tour brought me to Ebonyi, the Salt State, today, 29th October 2026, following yesterday’s visit to Akwanga, Nasarawa State, as our nationwide Town Hall Series continues.
In Ebonyi, I made a stop at Nkalagu and Ezillo to greet and acknowledge our supporters and briefly visited the market in Ezillo, where I interacted with our hardworking women who trade and bring farm produce to market.
In Abakaliki, I joined our party supporters on a road walk to the venue of our town hall meeting.
At the town hall, participants raised concerns about insecurity, particularly kidnapping and banditry; corruption; government borrowing; and the deteriorating condition of our hospitals, schools, and other essential amenities.
The most touching contribution came from a participant representing persons living with disabilities, who spoke about the challenges they face and the apparent lack of adequate support from government and society.
I assured the participants that, upon election, our foremost priorities will be to unite the country, decisively tackle insecurity and confront corruption, while pulling our people out of poverty.
To our brothers and sisters living with disabilities, I reiterated that the compassion of a nation is measured by how it treats its most vulnerable citizens. We will work with state governments to ensure their inclusion, proper care and dignity.
We will also invest massively in education and healthcare, including at least one fully functional primary healthcare centre in every political ward across Nigeria, while working to reduce the cost of living and expand opportunities for all.
I sincerely thank the participants, our party members, the organisers and the good people of Ebonyi State for their warm reception, enthusiasm and active participation.

You told Nigerians we could no longer rely on borrowing. That was your excuse for removing fuel subsidy — to save money for development and to service our debts effectively. At one point, you even claimed Nigeria does not have a revenue problem.
Yet today, you have borrowed more than all past presidents combined. They paid subsidy and did not plunge Nigeria into this level of debt. You removed subsidy, have borrowed even more in just three years, can't even fund your own budgets, and have nothing to show for it. To understand this kind of reform, one must be an idiot.

Nigeria has the highest maternal mortality rate in the entire world and it is still climbing.
Pregnancy and childbirth were the number killers of women for 99.9999% of human history and are still in the top 10 non-disease killers of women worldwide.
Pregnancy IS a death sentence for millions of women worldwide especially Nigeria.
Any man commenting recklessly on the topic of pregnancy and childbirth should have his lips sewn shut with needle and thread.
It’s a strategy!
Fill the air with hopelessness so people won’t go out to vote!
But we can and we will!!!
its like you people do not have a real grasp of how much this half dead withering bastard fucked us over. anybody just about making a case for him should ideally be murked on the spot. feels like mass psychosis that there’s people who still want him. fuel was 197 naira in october 2022. bag of rice was 25k. ts so fucked up.

The most powerful thing you can do right now is lock in and actually change your life. Not talk about it. Not plan it. Do it. The comeback you are capable of is not just for you. It sets a standard for everyone watching and everyone who comes after you.

Replying to @inecnigeria
@inecnigeria has disregarded the Electoral Act by failing to publish the voters’ register online for public scrutiny, even after the statutory 90-day deadline has passed.

ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020
Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country.
On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life.
We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice.
As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights.
Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future.
May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated.
A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO
I respect it too.
It’s good that the Catholic Church does not pretend that Christianity respects women as equal human beings to men.
They should continue laying out a clear case for women should not be Christians let alone Catholics.

It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.
