The second-best source is your YouTube homepage, but only after you train it.
1. Make a separate YouTube account.
2. Subscribe to at least 10 people already doing what you want.
3. Click and watch their best videos, and the suggested ones that catch your eye.
Your homepage stops showing you random stuff and starts showing you what your audience actually clicks on.
Then borrow the format, never what you say in the video. The content is the part only you can bring.
You don’t have a content problem. You have an idea sourcing problem.
I walk through all three steps on screen, including the free extension that shows which videos are outliers:

A VSL I wrote for myself, and sharing how to do it for others.
A client asking how to set up their YouTube background.
An SEO agency trying to move into video.
None came from an idea list. They came from doing the work, with real clients.
Three places.
Red: YouTube put a video on my homepage, and I made my own version.
Green: people were searching for it.
Blue: something happened in my work that I knew would help someone else.
Most of the top 9 were blue.
When I started, there was so much conflicting advice.
Pay for this tool.
Ask AI for ideas.
Copy whatever’s going viral.
I was all over the place.
Where do you get YouTube ideas worth doing?
I color-coded my 9 most popular YouTube videos.
5 of the ideas came from something I was working on with clients, and I just talked about it to help others.
One was a tech founder looking for the same fix.
She binged my channel, found my email, and asked me to coffee.
She brought another founder.
They asked for help with their marketing.
I made up a price on the spot.
They said yes.
All my life I had to chase money.
Jumping through hoops to apply and fill out forms.
This time there was nothing to close.
She’d decided before we sat down.
You don’t need big views.
You need one honest video about a problem you’ve already solved.
Over 40 and think you’re too old for this?
People your age are searching YouTube right now, tired of learning from 20-year-olds.
They want someone who sounds like them.

Remember why you're doing this
It's easy to get lost and overwhelmed with your online business venture.
This guru tells me to do this.
Another guru tells me to do another thing.
It's not to work more hours.
It's not to grow and manage a huge team
Or have an office in a prestigious location
For me, it's so I can take my kids to the park at 4:30pm in any day of the week.
Remind yourself why you're doing what you're doing.
"I'm good at what I do. So why is nobody buying?"
If you secretly feel like this about your online business, this video is for you 👇
