Secretary Doug Burgum predicts Venezuela will build a statue for President Trump — and the room ERUPTED in laughter when Trump interrupted at the end of his speech.
BURGUM: “Chris and I both had a chance to be there. I literally think they are going to put up a statue to President Trump.”
TRUMP: “That would be a great honor.”
BURGUM: “They view President Trump like Simón Bolívar.”
“He’s the liberator of a country, and this is a country where they love American baseball. You look on the street, they are wearing NBA jerseys.”
Burgum then went on a detailed explanation of how Venezuela has changed.
Trump let him finish — then interjected:
TRUMP: “Forget that…when are they going to do the statue?”
