I don't think I've ever seen the end of a rainbow this close! It's a shame pot's of gold don't float. Anyone need a dive buddy? – at Sydney, New South Wales

A very exciting possibility! It's hard to imagine all the diseases I thought I might work on as a biologist being cured in one shot; maybe they won't. But I wonder how the field will change if many of the justifications for funding disappeared like that. theguardian.com/society/2023… – at Sydney, New South Wales

A NuRD for all seasons - our new review in Trends in Biochem Sci #tibs discusses paralogue-specific versions of the NuRD complex, suggesting that distinct NuRDs built from different paralogue combinations might have tailored functions in time and space. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

There appears to be a pot of gold somewhere in the city this morning! Though odds are it's inside one of the big 4 banks – at Sydney, New South Wales

The first visitor crawling around to my new Cretan villa is a violet carpenter bee! Not to be confused with the Australian blue flower wasp @StickmanBraxton

I'm declaring an early end to my paper per day challenge. Last Tuesday I managed my 36th paper in 37 days, and really enjoyed all I learned, but since then haven't been able to bring myself to read another. I've burnt out. Will just try a few a week from here on.

An inspiring effort (even if she didn't make it to 900! 😜) I think I'll start small trying for 75 in 75 days (I'm otherwise occupied after that). Anyone else keen? @CrossleyLab natureindex.com/news-blog/th…

Our new paper is out in @NatureComms! Here we show that GATA-1 binding can be blocked by target site methylation & that mutation of a single base that prevents methylation at a GATA-1 site in the c-Kit gene alters haematopoiesis in mice. nature.com/articles/s41467-0… @UNSWScience

Often we science lovers miss the target when trying to share it with others. I think it's only quite recently that we've had so many facts to fuel our arguments, but in the excitement we forget to care about and relate to our audiences and opponents nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
