The owner of SpaceX, Elon Musk stated yesterday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly violated the terms of use of Starlink by using the system for offensive drone strikes. According to Musk, this "loophole" was closed last week. Advisor to the President of Ukraine on defense technologies, Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov explained how this cannot be true, stating that civilian terminals in Ukraine have a speed limit of 90 km/h – if this limit is exceeded, the connection is cut off, making it impossible to use them for such attacks. Volunteer Serhiy Sternenko added: to operate the terminals while in motion, they need to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. "All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield."

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones. As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true. In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians. But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work. In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield. We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 Serhiy "Flash": It is very strange that Elon Musk does not know about the restrictions on Starlink operation in Ukraine. 1. Starting from the winter of 2026, all StarLink terminals over the territory of Ukraine (including occupied territories) have a speed limit of 70-90 km/h. 2. StarLink does not operate over the territory of Russia. Thus, we PHYSICALLY CANNOT USE COMMERCIAL STARLINK for deep strikes and middle strikes.

Agreed. Putin is the furthest thing from a humanitarian. He is a full blown terrorist and the US should treat him like one before Amercians get a rude awakening in how violent multipolarity truly is. It’s coming. And then someday people will ask how we got to a point where Russia, China and Iran dominate the world in the near future. This is how. By letting Putin off easy for his crimes against humanity.
Ukrainians keep showing enormous courage in defending their country against Putin’s immoral and indeed evil efforts to conquer a neighbor. They have resisted now for four years and eight months and we should do all we can to help them.

I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head. Congress will unequivocally reaffirm that Ukraine is an indispensable ally to the United States, that Russia is a self-declared enemy of the United States, and that the United States will 100% support and defend the people of Ukraine in their fight for their own freedom against this brutal, illegal, and unprovoked Russian invasion. The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin. This is, after all, what Ronald Reagan would do. And this is what we will do now. Ukraine can, and will, defeat Russia. #PeaceThroughStrength

We suspected this was the reason Ukraine’s access to Starshield was restricted. But to see it from senior officials in this reporting is still utterly unconscionable. Let’s be absolutely clear about what this means. The Trump Administration deliberately restricted technology Ukraine relies on to intercept Russian drones and ballistic missiles. It made it harder for Ukraine to defend itself and easier for Russia to carry out its deadly attacks against Ukrainian civilians. They knew exactly what was at stake. They knew that more Russian drones and missiles would get through, allowing Russia to kill even more Ukrainians. And yet they went ahead anyway. This is a deliberate weaking of Ukraine’s defenses that only Russia will benefit from. It is a betrayal of our ally that this Administration cannot wash its hands of. The American people deserve to know who made this decision, why they made it, and how they can possibly justify putting more innocent Ukrainian lives in the crosshairs of Putin’s war machine. reuters.com/world/europe/ord…

With Trump's removal of Starlink, Russians are now hunting cars full of people in Kyiv, using jet drones for which Ukraine's interceptors no longer function to stop. Three people murdered an hour ago in southern Kyiv, with six others injured, three of which are children.

And now I’m going to tell you f̶r̶o̶m̶ w̶h̶i̶c̶h̶ d̶i̶r̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ t̶h̶e̶ a̶t̶t̶a̶c̶k̶ o̶n̶ B̶e̶l̶a̶r̶u̶s̶ w̶a̶s̶ b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ p̶r̶e̶p̶a̶r̶e̶d̶ what’s actually going to happen instead of all this hysterical white noise desperately trying to drown out the inevitable: The Orange Man is going to lose the elections with a deafening crash, and spend the rest of his time in office, along with his entire administration, desperately fending off a third impeachment, countless investigations, and criminal prosecutions for all his wild antics. And all this pompous posturing will finally come to an end. As for Putin, he can play Stalin all he wants, fantasize endlessly about carving up the world into three spheres of influence at some imaginary new “Yalta,” and unleash as many hordes of bots on social media as he likes. But when, at the end of the fifth year of your glorious blitzkrieg against Ukraine, you’re still banging your head against Mala Tokmachka, suffering your second defeat at Lyman, while Ukraine is bombing Moscow and St. Petersburg, and when you’re 1.5% of the global economy, all these fantasies can only impress a handful of useful idiots from Elon Musk’s freak show. And the man sitting next to him at this imaginary Yalta is, to put it mildly, no Roosevelt. He’s a semi-coherent, half-con artist from trashy reality TV who has failed spectacularly in Iran and has no idea how to get away with that. As for the Chinese emperor, it’s not even clear why he would want to take part in this lunatic circus in the first place, let alone share power with these people.

Latest: Zelenskyy tells reporters over WhatsApp that restrictions on Ukraine's Starlink systems remain. Interceptor drones can't function, logistics and operations hobbled. The maximum speed is 161 kph; "exceeding this limit causes the Starlink connection to cut out completely, resulting in the loss of the drone." He says Ukraine has done tests to determine whether SpaceX is truly facing technical issues, as has been told Kyiv by the US side, or if this is a "deliberate operation... to restrict us, cut us off, and prevent us from defending ourselves and protecting our people, both at the front and among the civilian population." He says Ukraine "sent a couple of vehicles equipped with Starlink terminals into European Union territory." "They moved at speeds exceeding 180kph, and the Starlink systems worked perfectly. We have the relevant logs and evidence to prove this." He adds: "The conclusion is clear: the restrictions are in effect within Ukraine but do not apply within the European Union. In other words, this is a planned operation."

At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter if Zelenskyy is President of Ukraine or not. @ZelenskyyUa Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe. People obsess over personalities too much. You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war. Russia INVADED Ukraine. Not the other way around. Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism. It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.

Kremlin bots are now running campaigns to downplay the consequences of strikes on Yandex data centers and advise Russians to spend less time online. In the four days following the Ukrainian strikes on Yandex data centers, pro-government bots left approximately 2,000 comments about the attacks on "VKontakte." This is according to data from the "Botnadzor" project, which was analyzed by the publication "Vedomosti." 🔹 After the first strike, the bots called for calm and praised the Russian air defense system. In the comments, they claimed that the air defense system was allegedly calmly shooting down 90-99% of the attacks. 🔹 After the second strike, on October 9th, propaganda accounts began to downplay the extent of the damage. In particular, they wrote that the data center in Saso only accounted for 5% of Yandex's capacity, so there should not have been any major disruptions. 🔹 After the third attack, the bots assured that Yandex's services were already working normally or would soon be restored. Users were urged to update their apps and not spread messages about problems. 🔹 When it became more difficult to deny the disruptions, some accounts tried to present them as a positive thing. Russians were advised to "take a break from their monitors and smartphones" and look at the world around them. In this way, Russian propaganda is trying to simultaneously downplay the consequences of the strikes, create an illusion of the effectiveness of the air defense system, and convince the audience that problems with digital services are not worth paying attention to.

I stand with the people of Ukraine. Putin clearly has zero respect for the administration and our country. He violated the energy ceasefire yesterday which is a giant middle finger to President Trump. My thoughts are with the people of Ukraine as they continue to be under assault from Russian ballistic missiles.

When I interviewed President Zelenskyy @ZelenskyyUa in July, he said he’s more than happy to sign a peace deal to end the war with Russia. The issue is, Russia won’t stop firing ballistic missiles into Ukraine. Russia won’t stop killing Ukrainian children. Russia won’t stop bombing Ukrainian hospitals. Russia won’t stop aiding Iran in the war against the US. Putin should be aggressively challenged for his nonstop aggression. Peace is a two way street.
America has given Ukraine nearly $200 billion in aid, so I asked President Zelenskyy @ZelenskyyUa what his message of gratitude is to the American people. He told me Ukraine wouldn’t have been able to continue fighting or have a voice for negotiations without America’s support. I asked if he would sign a peace deal with Russia in the Oval Office. He said he is ready, and that he already told President Trump @realDonaldTrump he will sign the deal wherever the President wants. I asked if he prefers signing it at the White House or at Mar-a-Lago. Zelenskyy really wants to see Mar a Lago, but the location for the peace deal signing does not matter to him. He said the only thing that matters is getting it done so we can save lives and end the war.
