I had always wanted a way to just do my comic inking as fast as my sketches... by using my sketch tool to ink. But the lines always came out grey and fuzzy and weak... Buuut this "unsharp mask" thing seems to be able to reinforce the center mass of the line while also contracting the fuzzy line edges of my fun fast sketch tool. The effect is probably more apparent in the label text I wrote on both examples. Of course I will not be using dopey filters on client work. That would be mortifying.
