Hello 3 followers, I took a little break from tweeting about music but I think I'm going to start again because music is still cool and I still have thoughts about it.
Also, I scooped a super cheap single day pass to Gov Ball just so I can see Odesza because obviously.
I saw Blink182 at a few festivals in 2019 so I didn't realize they weren't together because that wasn't that long ago and I guess I'm supremely out of the loop.
After seeing 2 shows at Radio City this weekend I've come to admit that I don't love seeing live music there. The acoustics are incredible but it makes you feel so separate from the band. More like a Broadway show than a concert.
Sometimes I wish I could absorb new music into my brain without having to actually take the time to listen to it does that make any sense
This new Glass Animals song is the absolute jam. youtu.be/wCoaPtaeSPw
Rage Against the Machine with Run the Jewels was excellent. And now on the train ride home I listen to Emancipator as a palate cleanser.
I hate taking videos at shows for more than a few seconds at a time because it takes me out of the moment but I loved last night so much I wanted to preserve it forever. Here's a (big!) snippet of Loyal.
There's maybe all of 8 artists I really want to see at Outside Lands and of course they all conflict with each other 😭
Boston Calling yesterday was so much fun and also the worst sound I've ever heard at a festival. It was so quiet that it was awkward. So many performances were like background music.
