Yesterday I ate a clock, it was very time consuming. Especially when I went back for seconds.

Pretty amazing story covering Hawaii’s journey. @RabagoEnergy humbly doesn’t mention his role in this effort!

I don't know how many years I have heard the same tired arguments by utilities against net metering. Maybe 10+? If it is such an existential threat to all that is holy and humane, then I am disturbed by the lack of innovation on this front. A little pre-holiday thread/vent.

If CA is willing to apply tech specific fxed charges to ☀️- how do we not end up applying tech specific fixed charges to blding electrification (which creates cost shift for gas customers), EVs or EE/DR? It’s the same rationale (and justifiable using RIM test results to boot)

Over used phrase, but here is an easy "low-hanging fruit" that must be addressed in the U.S. if we want to accelerate solar adoption. Unnecessary red tape has huge costs.
Replying to @BerkeleyLabEMP
Solar prices in the US remain stubbornly high relative to other countries. Residential rooftop prices in the US are 3x those of Australia and 5x prices in India. This is mostly due to soft costs, like business models, permitting and interconnection, and labor rates. 4/x
