Perhaps Plato’s words should be reformulated for people working in academia to: “The funding is the most difficult part of your work”

A pity that the Workshop on #NeuromorphicPhotonics and #PhotonicsAI and at #OFC2020 was cancelled. I for one was looking forward to discuss with the other speakers about the last developments in the field. Thanks @Chigo_Okonkwo and the organizers for their hard work. OFC2021?

Excellent initiative by @IEEEPhotonics to have a session @ECOC_Conference #ECOC2019 on peer review ...esp valuable for early career researchers and students - to mert some opt comms community leaders! Something useful for @OpticalSociety to consider!
