BritNat Breakfast lifted a junk story from The Times this morning about the civil service scrapping some roles. You're going to see much more of this from the BBC as *actual* journalism is replaced by sock-puppets reading out anti-SNP stories lifted from BritNat newspaper pages.
Note how Laura Maciver interrupts Shirley Anne Somerville eight seconds into her response. The original question was never meant to be answered, it was always just a set up for the interruption. The aim of the exercise was to persuade listeners that "the public purse" was being used in order to pay people to do nothing.

A reminder of how BBC Scotland leapt on the complaint to the police about Yes Scotland accounts. The station sought comments from the complainer *and* the Unionist opposition. Today police have confirmed there's nothing to investigate. But hey, the BritNats got their headlines.

Perhaps whoever speaks for the independence industry could explain to mere lifelong Scottish nationalists like myself how they propose to make their 'memorandum' binding on the independence movement, never mind Scotland's first post-independence government.
As a lifelong Scottish nationalist who considers the principle that the people of Scotland are sovereign inviolable, no group that includes the SNP can ever speak for me. And what about all the other groups within the independence movement? How was this exclusive list arrived at? What are the criteria for being invited to this 'summit'? Apart from being prepared to sit at a table with people who have lied their way to power and people who openly declare their readiness to betray Scotland's cause?

It took many years to develop because the oilfield has challenging geology and requires specialised offshore technology.

2005: First oil production began from the original Clair platform.
2018: The newer Clair Ridge platforms began producing oil.
