Penguin India announces the acquisition of Bengaluru by Ramjee Chandran, reputed journalist and author. The book tells the story of how the city came to exist in a place that, at first, seemed to have little reason for one. It will be published by Penguin in November 2026.

I discovered with our historian-friend @ramjeechandran from @HistoryOfBLR the #story behind the French Rocks at Padavapura, near #Mysore. France’s military and social presence in this region ruled by Tipu Sultan is a #history that can kindle any #researcher’s interest. #tourism
