Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 was the PREQUEL to The Martian Chronicles...
The infamous 'Firemen' existed in both stories as well.
Fahrenheit 451 is the lead-up, describing what happened on Earth, before & during the colonizing of the 'New World,' Mars, with ensuing nuclear war

And a theory within this theory. Arranging a vast mass hypnosis experiment, to help people from Earth cope with living on Mars. Especially if the Earth became uninhabitable. As it does in this book.
Demons as government officials, this is a such a relevant description

Ankh: as symbolic of the living form and its protective binding around the Soul.

Cymatics. Geometry.
Overlays for dimension, just as James Churchward discussed a century ago:
βThe Flower was the Foundatiom, the geometrical figure the superstructure.β Flowers symbolized the divine attribute, the Spirit.

If you would like a truer understanding of James Churchward, (who published this in 1934), these next tweets may give you an idea.
As the old Rishi told him,βGo forth into the world, my son, and learn that which is written by nature.
New book!
I read this when I was in high school,
I don't remember a whole lot from it, so it is time to revisit.
I've a feeling I'm going to get a lot more out of it now

It also notes that the idea of us wearing mainly the gemstone for our birth, is actually a late development. We should wear the stone for each month, when we are in that month.
There are also standard stones for weekdays, and locational stones, to connect with where you live.

So this scientist is commandeering Bradbury's plot line.
In this context, we might be the 'Martians', who fled to this world, killed the natives, and made it appear to be like it was back home....

All this guy is doing is stealing the plot of The Martian Chronicles except switching planets.....
The more I look at these book suggestions, the more impressed I am with the list, which is often only very loosely using math concepts.
Many great reads
