When Satoshi published the white paper: World money supply - $40 trillion. World debt - $170 trillion. Bitcoin's supply - 21 million. 18 years later TODAY: World money supply -$127 trillion. World debt - $365 trillion. Bitcoin's supply - 21 million. They tripled the money. They doubled the debt. Satoshi didn't change a thing because Bitcoin is MONEY.

I'm still not over the BTCPay Server hacks from August. And I don't think I ever will be. Nine years of coding, building community and creating value with others, only for a lot of that value to be stolen by thieves and AI hackers. When I look back, the only thing I feel good about is how fast our community reacted, and how many more people were saved from catastrophic losses. As a FOSS project, we responded better than governments, big corporations and most for-profit companies did. Everyone who contributed should feel proud of the part they played in the response. What remains is the realization that we are in a new era. The people who robbed us only managed it because they got access to frontier AI models faster than we did. AI has fundamentally changed software development. So our job now is to build better ways for humans to work with AI while it writes the code. Developers were already being tortured. The boss wants it yesterday. Sales sold it last week. Product changed it this morning. Everyone in the company wants it faster, and the end users want it perfect. Your backlog has a backlog. Now add attackers running frontier models that read your entire codebase overnight. It's literally impossible to keep up. If you're still coding by hand, you're bringing a keyboard to a drone fight. You will not make it. In this brave new world it's all about having AI running your development and defense, ensuring it's as close to frontier as possible. And that you are connected with other humans who share your morals. Those who will not only refuse to steal from others, but actively fight thiefs, sharing lessons they learned. A world where those who create value get to keep it. That's the only world I want to live in.

🚨Brilliant interview! 💸💰💸💰💸💰💸 🚨How do banks create money ? 💸💰💸💰💸💰💸 🚨Prof Werner is incomparable. In the 5000 yr history of banking no-one has ever done an imperical study of banking to show where the money comes from- until now. Step up the rock star economist Professor Richard Werner. His amazing qualifications and held positions makes the eye water. He is truly the authority on this subject. Banks are thought of as deposit taking entities who lend money - but that is just wrong. His assessment - Banks dont lend money but they misrepresent (lie) to their customers and say that they do.

This might be the wildest minimum wage statistic I've ever seen. In 1971, the federal minimum wage was $1.60 per hour. Gold averaged $40.92 per ounce. It took 26 hours of minimum-wage labor to earn an ounce of gold. In 2025, the federal minimum wage was $7.25. Gold averaged $3,432 per ounce. It took 473 hours of labor to earn that same ounce. Your hourly wage increased 4.5× in dollars. The amount of labor required to acquire gold increased 18.5×. Measured in gold, the federal minimum wage lost approximately 95% of its value. Fifty-four years of nominal wage increases, and one hour of work buys a fraction of the monetary asset it once did.

I was recently in a pub near Galway and noticed this on the wall. Between 1900 and 1993, the price of the same pint of Guinness increased 136x. Measured in Guinness, money lost over 99% of its purchasing power. Sometimes the best lessons about money are hanging on pub walls.

Inflation is how we ended up in a world where you can make more money than your parents and afford less. We’ve never been better at producing things. Yet somehow, buying a home, raising a family, and saving for the future have become harder. Something is broken.

If you knew this about Bitcoin, I bet you would start caring about it. Current Bitcoin computing power is 978 exahashes per second. That is Bitcoin’s hashrate. In simpler terms, that means the Bitcoin network is doing 978 quintillion calculations *per second*. There is no other computer network on Planet Earth that even comes close to that level of power. To put this in perspective, since the Big Bang supposedly happened, 435.5 quadrillion seconds have passed. 978 quintillion calculations is 2,246 times that number. In other words, Bitcoin performs more calculations *every second* than the total number of seconds that have passed in the entire universe’s existence, times 2,246. And that doesn’t even capture the growth of the Bitcoin network. In 2013, only four years into Bitcoin’s lifespan, global Bitcoin computing power was 256 times faster than the world’s top 500 supercomputers combined. In just 13 years since then, the computing power of the Bitcoin network has grown by over 209,000 times. That would be like the human population going from 8 billion people to 1.68 quadrillion people in a little over a decade. To put that in perspective, 8 billion seconds ago was the year 1773. 1.68 quadrillion seconds ago was 53,233,962 BC. If Bitcoin’s computing power has grown by over 209,000 times in 13 years, and that growth rate is the equivalent of going from 53,000,000 BC to 1773 AD, one could say that the Bitcoin network has advanced over 53 million years in a little over a decade. Such a level of growth is a strong indicator of intelligence. Do with this what you will.

Every fiat currency has lost significant purchasing power since 1971. The "best" performer, the Swiss franc, is still down 66%. The US dollar has lost 87%. Most are down 99%+.

I’m about to tell you something that will piss you off (but you need to hear it): You are 50× more productive than someone in 1950. So why aren’t you 50× wealthier? Your grandfather built cars by hand. You design them with computers. Your great-grandmother calculated by slide rule. You process data at light speed. Every productivity gain should have made you richer. Instead, wages don’t keep up with prices as… • Houses cost 10× more relative to income • College costs 20× more • Healthcare costs 15× more All those productivity gains should flow back into the economy to everyone. But where did they go? The banking cartel siphoned it off through money printing. Every dollar they create dilutes the dollars you earn. Productivity gains taken. Right under our noses. Trillions stolen. Bitcoin ends the heist. With hard money, all productivity gains go to holders of Bitcoin. Thus, life gets less expensive. Understand?
