Thanks everyone for your help regarding Oslo ❤️🙏 We had a pretty nightmarish day.
We were booked on a flight to LHR which was cancelled 1 hour before departure. We were told it was a technical problem and a replacement part missing and something with supply line issues. I don't know if this is correct.
@lufthansa rebooked us on a flight through Oslo, but completely messed up the onward connection with BA, stranded us in Oslo, and then literally refused to help, despite n>3 calls.
There's no Lufthansa counter in Oslo, so we were told to go to @SAS . SAS sent us to BA which told us to call Lufthansa which told us they can't do anything and to to go to SAS, which sent us to BA, etc -- we went through this cycle twice to no avail. No one had any idea what happened, how it could possibly have happened, why we weren't let on the flight for which we had tickets or what to do.
The only good thing I can report is that contrary to what Lufthansa told us, our bags were not checked through to LHR either and we found them lingering in a corner in the Oslo airport. (So even if Lufthansa had not messed up our tickets, we wouldn't have had our bags in London.)
We've now found a place to stay for the night and have new boarding passes for tomorrow and fingers crossed that we make it to London tomorrow.
I'm just writing this to decompress, really, so thanks all for listening. I hate travelling even in the best of circumstances but this has been the most fucked up travel I've ever had, and all that with two kids in tow, not my idea of a good time.

15. Johnson's rise tells us much that is troubling about British political culture.
If we pretend this is just about him, we'll learn nothing of value from his premiership.
And others will exploit the same weaknesses in future. [ENDS]

I never understand why Tories herald the fact they “ended the free movement of people” as if they think it sounds like a good thing.
It’s like saying “we stopped the oxygen from circulating” to a group of people who can no longer breathe.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy has been taken off Channel 4 for a week after calling Steve Baker a C*nt off screen.
If you believe that Channel 4 is in the wrong and he should be reinstated immediately. RT this.

Dear @Channel4News, I know you have to be seen to not condone bad language, but on this occasion Krishnan @krishgm certainly spoke for me and I suspect millions of others. He is a superb member of your team and I would be deeply disappointed if he should be obliged to leave

General election, now.
Our city and country has never needed a Labour government more.

A perfectly reasonable question: not too much to ask for to keep a programme that is popular with its audience and fulfills its Reithian remit in a way that Homes Under the Hammer does not, right @BBCNews?
