Did the referendum work? Voters and poll workers — we want to hear from you. Elections Alberta confirms 106 polling stations opened late on Oct 19. Some First Nations polls ran out of ballots. More than 3,000 mail-in packages were rejected. The count blew its 48-hour legal deadline, and ballots were moved to central sites for counting. What nobody has counted: how many Albertans didn't get to vote, and what happened to the ballots after the polls closed.
