The ladies from the Namabu SACCO were so happy to receive the Ugx 30 million entitled to them from the Parish Community Association (PCA) which has 10 groups. Thank you @OPMUganda @KaboyoAlice @MoLGUganda for making this possible.

Together with the LC3 Chairman, Pastor Baamu Moses, and Evangelists from Vision of Mercy, we handed out 200 piglets and animal feeds to women attending the All Women’s Conference at Gomati Church in Gomati Village, Namabu Parish, Nyenga Division, Njeru Municipality.
I am grateful to Vision of Mercy for this contribution, which will go a long way in empowering women, improving livelihoods and creating opportunities for families to grow economically.
Later, in Butabira Village, Namabu Parish, Nyenga Division, I interacted with residents and listened to their concerns as we continue engaging with our communities to understand their needs and priorities.
I also extended financial support and donated chairs to Butabira Jubilee Church to support its activities.
I am grateful to both churches for their continued contribution to the spiritual development of our community and their role in nurturing faith and uplifting lives.

On my way to Bugongi , I was happy to see Rwamuganga Swamp, which has been preserved. This is the correct line. Our wetlands are important for water and the environment, and we must protect them. My message to the people of Sheema is that our main task now is wealth creation. Leaders must mobilise our people to join the money economy. In agriculture, we must move from subsistence to commercial production. Our farmers should embrace irrigation, grow pasture and use fertilisers to increase productivity. Every household must engage in activities that generate income. That is how we defeat poverty.

Yesterday, I launched the distribution of 70,000 cocoa seedlings across Buikwe District to support our farmers and boost their agricultural productivity, which will increase their income and strengthen our local economy.
Buikwe is among Uganda’s leading cocoa-growing districts, and this initiative is aimed at promoting commercial agriculture and improving livelihoods. I extend my appreciation to the @MAAIF_Uganda for its valuable contribution towards this initiative.
We shall continue working to unlock Buikwe’s agricultural potential, improve farmers’ livelihoods and drive sustainable economic growth.
What a time to be African. What a blessing to witness Africa’s greatness unfold.

I received the Commonwealth Secretary General, Ms. Shirley Botchwey, this afternoon at Entebbe.
We discussed the need for Africans to unite around our common economic interests through the African Continental Free Trade Area and to trade with partners of our choice, rather than continuing to organise ourselves along colonial lines.
We also discussed a climate fund to support alternative energy sources such as solar, hydro and nuclear, as well as a youth aspirations fund to equip Africa’s young people with the skills they need. These are the issues we must address if Africa is to transform its enormous potential into prosperity.

In Kayunga , together with Hon. Minister @BalaamBarugahar and Hon. Minister Amos Lugoloobi, I joined the commissioning of Shakti Sugar Factory, the very first factory in Kayunga. We thank the investors for choosing Kayunga and for contributing to the growth and development of the district.
I also joined Hon. Minister Balaam in the “Say No to Corruption” rally. I commend him for the work he is doing to promote transparency, accountability and the fight against corruption in our local governments.
