Steph Curry because he changed the game and he's kind of my generation.” — Nikola Jokic
One generational talent recognizing another. Two very different players who reimagined what's possible on a basketball court.
Greatness recognizing greatness. And gravity. #DubNation
Well done, JK. 👏
Another impactful performance where collective success mattered more than individual accolades.

JK was instrumental in the #mntimberwolves' win over the Rockets, contributing on both ends.
Impact over accolades.

“When both Curry and Green sat out the front end of a back-to-back against the Los Angeles Clippers, Podziemski and Lendeborg went for a combined 54 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists.” — @NateOnDubs 👇
Exciting to see synergy across different parts of the roster.

Yaxel Lendeborg is already changing Brandin Podziemski’s game.
The rookie’s on-ball creation has freed Podziemski to thrive as a connector, moving, cutting and organizing the Warriors’ offense.
How their budding partnership brings out the best in both:bluemanhoop.com/yaxel-lendeb…
Charles “BASKETBALL” Bassey deserves 15–20 MPG for the #Warriors, in my view.
He can play more, though Rick Celebrini will surely weigh in given his injury history.
He has the skills and basketball IQ. More reps will sharpen both.
I think coaching staff sees it too.

Thank you for sharing, @spyritwriter.
The GOAT has a long history of leading by example. This is yet another reminder of what makes Steph so special.

It takes a particular kind of guile to convince a team to absorb a salary slot or expiring contract this early in the season, when they too can wait for better opportunities closer to the trade deadline.
Patience has value. So does timing.
Let's see what MDJ can orchestrate.

Just a reminder. Podz is NOT making 19 million this season. Podz is making 5.7 million this season.
It's not a zero-sum game between MDJ's strength—scouting and drafting—and expanding the championship window around the franchise's greatest strength: Steph.
It's an assurance game. Align incentives, balance time horizons, maximize collective value.
Can it be done?

Preserving draft capital signals the #Warriors' faith in one demonstrable strength of MDJ: scouting and drafting well
It's not all a GM does, but it's something he does really well.
The next test? Can he pull off a high-stakes trade to help Steph 🤔?

Replying to @Hooponomics @Jakeley_OnSI
I agree
I think whether it’s during this trade deadline or this offseason. This really is the last chance for the FO to build “the team” around Steph’s last few moments. Important not to rush but also not to miss your moment
Very interesting. TBD what shakes

“But team governor Joe Lacob's recent comments on how Yaxel Lendeborg has changed their trajectory make me think they will give up one future draft asset for the right player.” — @Jakeley_OnSI
Interesting nuggets here. My speculation? That's where the #Warriors land: KP + 1 FRP.
Some thoughts on the Warriors’ possible trade strategy with Porzingis

I was less worried about KP's return because I'd watched Bassey play. @gswcba's coverage encouraged me to follow him.
Small sample, but Bassey can hoop. In tight games, he can make a crucial bucket or hit FTs. He's no liability.
Happy to see him earn his minutes.

Yaxel Lendeborg on his pick-and-roll chemistry with Charles Bassey:
“I was a big, and I know what it’s like when you don’t get the ball. So it kinda gives me an extra, I guess, an extra soft spot for them. Like, man, I’m gonna look for him, I’m gonna actually try to give him the ball. Because I know how long you go in a game without touching it. And for him, he’s such a good jumper. He has good touch around the rim. His floater’s elite. So, it’s like, it makes it easier for me. Because once his stuff is going on, the next thing you know, they’re gonna worry about the lob more than my layup. So now I have a layup, or a shot. Him screening so well, it gives me, like, another, ‘Man, you really deserve this ball.’”

I can’t thank @gswcba enough for covering Bassey during his days playing for @GLeagueWarriors . His touch is really good, just needs more reps. In Ike & Bassey we have the size to compete. And Win.

New: Charles Bassey and Yaxel Lendeborg are #Warriors locker-mates. They go through gameplans pregame, talk postgame. And they are *very* confident in their P&R connection.
It showed in a Bassey mini-breakout Monday night. From talking with them both:

“No rookie should be capable of this type of immediate excellence. Then again, Lendeborg is anything but a typical rookie. “
MDJ made an excellent pick. Great read.

Wonderful to see Charles Bassey get his moment — and more will come.
He can hoop. And he's the opposite of #FakeToughness.

Charles Bassey says the in-game scuffles are all “fake toughness”:
“To be honest, man, you know I play hard. I’m always going to be there for my teammate. And of course, when stuff is going like that, you just still got to stay composed, man. You still got to stay composed, stay in the game, don’t let all this stuff get out the game. Sometimes, it’s fake toughness, you know, and I just got to make sure I’m in the game. Stay in the game and step on my team and just compose myself every time when that stuff is going on. So, like I said, man, me and Green got to it, man. But, I mean, just staying composed and just going to the next play, next play mentality. Just next play… It’s all fake toughness, man. It’s all fake toughness. It’s all fake toughness. You’re not doing that outside. It’s all fake toughness, man.”

Charles Bassey on how fun it is to play with Steph Curry:
“I’m telling you, man, it’s great, man. Like I was telling GP, I feel like every time I set the screen on Steph, I’m always wide-ass open, man. I’m always open. So, I mean, playing with him is fun, man. It’s fun because he gets you going. He gets you going, and he gets you little free buckets here and there. Like you said, man, I got a couple of free buckets with the screen and roll with him tonight, and so, it’s just fun playing with him, man. It’s fun. I love it.”

Seven games into his rookie career, on the eve of his 8th, and some are already writing a eulogy for Yaxel's defense.
So, what's the real story? Let NetPoints tell it.
Relax. He'll be good. Very good.

Is Yaxel proof that keeping picks is the right play? No. He's proof that keeping THAT pick was the right play, and now that you have him, it should be open season. Curry is still the best player in the world on any night
Early signs of MDJ’s hits for ’26–27. The story is unfolding, but the ingredients look sustainable.
Yaxel — Two-way impact
BWill — Speed
Bassey — Rim protection
Will Richard — Growth
Podz — Year 4 leap
Melton — Two-way resurgence
MDJ has an eye for roster construction.
