We shouldnāt have to wait for a child or parent to be hit by a car for something to change. Statistics from 2012 showed pedestrian incidents were a leading cause of fatalities in kids 5-9. Please consider signing my petition and letās demand more from our city.
And I know this is an issue far beyond my daycare. Itās happening across #Toronto so I made this petition for better enforcement and better infrastructure to protect families trying to get to school and daycare SAFELY.
As frustrated as the $$$ aspect is, my large concern is the safety of children and parents at our daycare who canāt access our designated spots.
Over the past several years Iāve probably racked up $300+ in parking fines trying to safely collect my kids from daycare because the designated drop off / pick up zones are improperly used and this ISNāT enforced by @TPSOperations parking officers
