“good thing there’s no more guaranteed money” has never been said once in this history of this league. especially not by someone with a career-threatening condition.
If I’m Jalen Hurts and his agent Nicole Lynn, I’m happy that he doesn’t have much guaranteed money remaining on his current contract. I’d want to get as far away as possible from this organization and then take legal action.

Wishing him a speedy recovery while wondering what the hell the Eagles were thinking.
How committed is Jalen Hurts to football? After initially being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London, doctors told him not to sleep as a precaution, so he had been awake for roughly 36 hours when he started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.

Sleep itself isn’t necessarily a risk, but prolonged immobilization is. Probably why they told Jalen Hurts don’t sleep. You know what is a risk for blood clots? Long flights leading to prolonged immobility + altitude change, especially following trauma (football).
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

Unbelievable. If this is all accurate, I can’t wait to see how the @Eagles hold their medical staff accountable.. and how the @NFL holds the Eagles accountable. And it better be swift.

I’m wondering the same thing. And cannot wait for the response.
Serious question: Why even let him play?

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is expected to be sidelined for multiple months after new imaging over the weekend found several blood clots in his lungs. Hurts is now on blood thinners and should have no long-term effects. But it’s unlikely he plays again this season.

THEY TOLD Jalen Hurts NOT TO SLEEP 🤯 YET THEY STILL LET HIM PLAY. Are you kidding me right now???? FIRE THE ENTIRE @Eagles MEDICAL STAFF NOW. THIS IS BLATANT MALPRACTICE.
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London. Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars. (per @TomPelissero)

Tom Pelissero, the source cited, later clarified after speaking to Jalen Hurts' agent that Hurts was able to sleep after hospital evaluation and felt rested to play. x.com/TomPelissero/s… cbssports.com/nfl/news/jalen… sportingnews.com/us/nfl/philade…

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Swerve Strickland on his match with The New Level vs. Hangman Page & Brodido at AEW All Out: “That was the true definition of what All Elite Wrestling is all about. It's taking guys from, six guys from six truly different aspects of wrestling, different spaces, different places. I'm the only one from Lucha Underground from any of those guys. Bandido, truly one of the perennial talents to come from Mexico like I will say ever, I will genuinely die on my sword and say ever and he's only getting better and only growing still young. Brody King, like literally came from Ring of Honor and doing all the things like PWG that style of wrestling and stuff like that. Hangman Page, one of the pillars of AEW, truly created Elite, the Elite in All Elite Wrestling and New Japan. New Day, New Level now, with all their history, so everybody's coming from different walks of life, but can still manage to create something special in the ring together and in synch, chemistry, hatred feuds, lucha, big man, strong style, all these things and story. It's everything you could want out of pro wrestling all molded into one and that's what All Elite Wrestling has always been about. That's the lifeblood of what AEW is, that match right there.” (@SI_wrestling | @TruHeelSP3)

Playing outstanding! Always a fan of a 5th round CB balling out!
Hezekiah Masses’ stat line through his first three games is UNBELIEVABLE: • 86 total coverage snaps • 14 total targets • 6 receptions allowed (70 total yards) • 3 INT’s (1st in NFL) • 19.0 passer rating allowed (2nd in NFL) The Raiders rookie CB has arguably been the NFL’s CB1 through three weeks 😳🔒
