Happy School Communicators Day #schoolprpros! You are the voice behind the stories, the heart behind the messages and the bridge that connects schools, families and communities. Thank you for being champions for education in your districts!
Last night I had the honor of presenting the @MSPRA Gerri Allen Outstanding School Communicator of the Year Award to the amazing @mickioneil! This award is a testament to Micki’s dedication, creativity and leadership in the field of school communications.
A5: I wonder if there is opportunity to partner with other groups/organizations to offer PD in this area. I have done several FEMA courses which are great but come from a different angle/perspective. Maybe a partnership could help make them more relatable to school pr. #k12prchat
A4: I would love someone with video experience. I can get one done, but they are not to the quality I would like. I am loving my new co-worker ChatGPT. #k12prchat
A2: I’m in my 11th school year. Prior to this amazing job, I was in private sector pr. #schoolpr is way better! #k12prchat
A1: A key part of this role is to provided trusted counsel to leaders and to share timely and accurate information with the organization’s publics. To effectively do this, we must be in the room where the decisions are made. #k12prchat
A0: with @NSPRA you always have a friend who has experience dealing with a situation. #k12prchat

I’d like to welcome @sarakgee, @icomets and Heather Jewell to the @MSPRA board. I know these talented #schoolprpros will be an asset to the Board and our members. I cannot forget my good friend & super school communicator @kallen713 who is going to rock the President-Elect role.
Last but far not least, is the one & only @karen_heath who is moving from a Board member into a special projects/advisor role for MSPRA. She has done so much for our Board & this new role will allow her to continue supporting us while focusing on her @NSPRA regional VP duties.
On the final day of her term as @MSPRA president, I want to thank @McCawHolly for her service, dedication and commitment to our chapter and members. She has done an amazing job leading the Board over the past two years. Aside from that, she is simply an incredible person.
I also want to thank @A2Kryscynski as she wraps up her time as MSPRA secretary. An all around awesome person, she has also given so much to our chapter and members.
I am so happy that while they are moving out of their current roles that both Holly and Ashley will remain on the @MSPRA Board as they bring so much to our chapter.
A6: When I win the Mega Millions tonight, I’ll hire someone to make us a new platform. #k12prchat
A5: The Gold Mines should never, ever change. They are awesome. It did feel like there was a lot of over lapping event this year, which I’m not sure NSPRA can too too much about. #k12prchat
