Alfred the Great died on this day, 1127 years ago.
Alfred set the foundations of a united England and drove the invaders out, while all odds were against him. In doing so, he secured the existence of the Anglo-Saxon race.
It is an honour for all Englishman today to call this man not just a hero, but an ancestor. Hail Alfred!

Why are people so rattled over Argentina claiming they own the Falklands?
Argentina's stance has been like this for quite a while, it isn't something new.
Argentina really is not a threat to us. They will not be able to take the islands by force - because they literally can't.
To me this just seems like Argentina trying to distract everyone from their failing economy, and it works wonders.
