OMG! @MayorofLondon can’t even give a compelling argument for the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street - he was led along by a friendly BBC presenter. Truly shocking. When will we be told by @UKLabour he is going?🙏

Very big news. One of most pro-LTN councils in the UK, Islington, has said there is 'no timeline' to install further LTNs.

This guy utterly dismantles the populist politics of Reform and Restore in 90 seconds. It’s actually quite beautiful. Take decades of deep-rooted problems in Britain and convince people that a relatively tiny proportion of the population is responsible for all of them. Housing, the NHS, crime. Blame illegal migrants for everything. Suddenly, you don’t need credible solutions to the housing crisis, NHS waiting lists or crime. You just need increasingly extreme policies on immigration. And by the time people realise you never had meaningful answers to the vast majority of Britain’s problems, you’re already in power, handing out tax cuts to your donors.

Yet more nonsense. The @UKLabour is making sensible steps towards reform. Avoiding the obvious pitfalls of wholesale change of a market space that Harry himself acknowledges is precarious yet takes no responsibility for his contribution.

Okay there’s a 20% tax saving but can he guarantee that work will held to a standard appropriate on the capitals underground.
A new comprehensive pilot exploring how @TfL can deliver cleaning services in-house will begin this week. I’ve long championed insourcing where possible, and that of course includes our hard working and essential cleaning staff. I’m pleased that TfL is taking this important step both for customers and for the dedicated cleaning colleagues who help keep London moving. I want to thank the RMT for their work and invaluable input. railnews.co.uk/news/2026/09/…

This is so weird, one of these women allowed a paedo into radio one, the other gave a heart felt comment. Wonder which one lost her job at the @BBC?

Behold Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the Monaco-dwelling, tax-evading billionaire who has masterfully engineered the absolute demolition of Manchester United. This is the man who rode in on an INEOS high horse pretending to be a boyhood fan, only to turn the club into what Gary Lineker rightly torched as a "complete shambles run by an unpleasant human being." Jim’s priorities are a masterclass in sociopathic management. While the team rots in 12th place after their worst start in over a decade under an inexperienced board, Jim is busy giving interviews complaining that the UK is "on the slide." His solution to fixing a football club? Mass redundancies for low-paid office staff, spiking ticket prices for the actual match-going fans, and demanding the British public foot the bill for his stadium. Nothing screams elite sporting structure quite like taking away a secretary's lunch while paying millions for overhyped flops to draw against Fulham. He has managed to alienate everyone from legendary pundits to entire supporter groups who are actively demanding he resign. Congratulations, Sir Jim: you didn't save Manchester United from the Glazers; you just replaced them with a colder, louder, and infinitely more pathetic corporate vulture.

At yesterday’s London Cycling conference London’s Cycling Czar @Willnorman told the blind man in the audience, who described how he can no longer catch a bus to his local shopping street: “I'm sorry that that's, the impact that that's had on your life! Where’s the @MayorofLondon’s blind person’s champion?

Tonight I returned to a Council I once served as Deputy Leader — this time as a resident, presenting a deputation signed by 42 others to protect single-sex violence against women and girls provision. Haringey is now under a Green administration, led by Mark Blake. Afterwards, Council security, concerned for our safety, escorted me and two other women out through a back entrance and towards the bus stop to protect us from protesters outside screaming some claptrap about “TERFs” and “the state”. In 1986, aged 10, I came to Haringey with my mum and sister, fleeing domestic violence. We were placed in hotels — the first notably in Holborn and St Pancras — where women and girls stood guard at bathroom doors to protect each other’s dignity. Apparently that 10-year-old girl grew up to become a stooge of the state for fighting to protect services for the women and girls who came after her. We came to speak. They came to intimidate. It didn’t work. Those responsible should be thoroughly ashamed.

If she arrived today, the party she is standing for would treat her & her family much worse, restricting their access to settlement & making it harder for her to become British. Thats just a fact. A very sad fact. Vote Green if you give a damn about refugees.
Camden is my home. I'm standing to give back to the community that gave me everything.

Sad to see the @TheGreenParty are as deluded as @UKLabour before them - the majority of the monies provided for housing are directed by central govt - they have decision making on pennies not millions.

Personally, I think this is nonsense. I will break down what I think is happening in this video. It appears that Jeff Banks is a longtime Reform supporter, so Nigel is granting him two favors. The first is the opportunity to secure a contract to produce Reform's merch. The second is the opportunity to appear in this video, which effectively functions as an advertisement. I think it is a mischaracterization to call Jeff Banks a "designer." A more apt term is "businessman." There's nothing inherently wrong with being a businessman, but if we were to survey everyone in the menswear industry, the greatest concentration of hucksters would be in this category. For decades now, Jeff Banks has been sourcing his production in low-wage countries and then importing those items into Britain, which in turn undercuts British production. For instance, this shirt pictured below, which was made in China. To be clear: there is nothing inherently wrong with Chinese production. Some of it can be quite high-quality. But when someone arrives in the country with only the intention of maximizing profits, quality is not their central concern. If Nigel actually cared about British manufacturing, he could have contacted @paddygrant, who has been a champion in this area for decades. While Jeff Banks was outsourcing his production, Patrick was not only manufacturing in the UK, but also saving British factories. In 2015, he saved the Blackburn factory Cookson & Clegg from closure by purchasing the operation and saving countless jobs. That factory could have easily made Reform's merch. And the money would have gone to someone who has been a genuine champion of UK manufacturing. Jeff Banks claims that it's a "nightmare" to produce neckties in the UK, so he had to go to Como, Italy to get his silk. This is the sort of lie you can expect from a huckster who is principally concerned with profits, not British jobs. I'm sure he knows that Macclesfield has a long tradition of producing British silk. Adamley still produces there, as you can see in the third slide. Some of their designs are inspired by David Evans's archival prints, which would have given Nigel and his team the opportunity to promote a long-forgotten British tradition. (I will save the story for David Evans for another time). These Macclesfield silks could have been given to Drake's, a domestic British neckwear producer. Yes, this would have been expensive for the end consumer. But this is what you would have had to tell Reform supporters: if you want genuine, high-quality British manufacturing, it will cost you. Jeff Banks doesn't take this route with his production because he knows supposed "British patriots" are often cheap bastards, much like their American counterparts. So he cuts corners where he can. By cutting costs in this way, you undercut actual British producers. Consumers see this advertisement, go to Jeff Banks, and see that the goods are cheap. They then wonder why British manufacturers are charging so much more. Unfortunately, this corner of the market is full of hucksters who are not real patriots. Nigel promotes this guy in return for his support, which brings consumers to him, helping line his pockets — much of it cheap imports. If you want real British-made clothing, there is no shortage of options. But you have to be serious about supporting domestic craftspeople and factory workers.
I would like to thank world-renowned designer Jeff Banks for this marvellous British made clothing!
