A six-week Cybersecurity Training Programme was conducted for 40 CISF personnel from various ASGs at C3iHub, IIT Kanpur.
The programme covered key areas of cybersecurity, emerging cyber threats, network and system security, digital forensics, and incident response, with emphasis on practical applications and operational requirements.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by Sh. Kuldeep Singh Rathore, AC/CASO, ASG Kanpur, and graced by Dr. Tanima Hajra, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Anand Hada, Chief Strategy Officer, C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, along with other faculty associates.
Addressing the participants, the AC/CASO emphasised the importance of cyber preparedness and encouraged them to apply and share their learnings to enhance cyber awareness across CISF.
CISF continues to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities through specialised training, enhancing operational preparedness to address evolving cyber threats and security challenges.

Specialised 06-week Cyber Security Training Programmes commenced on 21.09.2026 at IIT Ropar and IIT Kanpur, pursuant to the MoUs signed by Shri Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S., IPS, IG/APS-I, on behalf of CISF, with SCALE Foundation, IIT Ropar and C3iHub, IIT Kanpur.
A total of 80 CISF officers and personnel will undergo the training, with 40 participants from various CISF Units at IIT Ropar and 40 participants from the CISF Airport Sector at IIT Kanpur. The programmes are aimed at enhancing cyber security knowledge and technical capabilities among participating personnel and strengthening the Force’s capacity to address emerging cyber security requirements in support of its operational responsibilities.
The commencement at IIT Ropar was graced by Shri Santosh Suman, Sr. Commandant/CASO, Chandigarh Airport, while the commencement at IIT Kanpur was graced by Shri Kuldeep Singh Rathore, AC/CASO, Kanpur Airport, in the presence of senior representatives of the respective IITs.

C3iHub, IIT Kanpur and CISF Sign MoU to Strengthen Cybersecurity Capabilities 🔐🇮🇳
As part of the collaboration, @HubC3i, IIT Kanpur will conduct a six-week, residential and non-commercial training programme for 40 @CISFHQrs personnel per batch, combining classroom learning, hands-on exercises, expert sessions and scenario-based activities.
The MoU was signed by Shri Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S., IG/APS-I, CISF, and Dr. Tanima Hajra, CEO, C3iHub, in the presence of Prof. Surender Baswana, Programme Director, Dr. Ras Dwivedi, CTO, Dr. Anand Handa, CSO, and Shri Ajaya Kumar Misra, CFO.
The training will cover cybersecurity fundamentals, IT and networking, digital forensics, incident response, vulnerability assessment, disaster recovery and business continuity, along with emerging areas including AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud computing, IoT and Operational Technology (OT).
Participants will also engage with evolving threats such as AI-enabled attacks, deepfakes, supply-chain vulnerabilities, identity-related threats and cyber-physical system risks, culminating in a multi-sector crisis simulation.
The collaboration marks a shared commitment towards building a skilled and future-ready cybersecurity workforce and strengthening the protection of India’s critical and strategic infrastructure.
