It’s not unChristian to deport illegal immigrants.
Christian ethics do not denounce deportations. They demand it.
Since illegal immigration is a crime, Christian ethics demand justice.
That justice includes deportations.
When Padmé Amidala told 19-year-old Anakin Skywalker they couldn’t be together, he should’ve accepted her rejection, and all that trouble could’ve been avoided.
No means no, Ani!

I’m sorry, Mrs. Greenberg, but we’re enforcing immigration laws now.
You don’t get to just keep the ones you like.
Please pray for Samuel Sey (@SlowToWrite) and his wife, Annie, and their kids. I feel especially for Annie and the kids. They deserve so much better. They shouldn’t have to wonder when their daddy and husband will be able to come home.
I know I differ with many conservatives on immigration. I am all for cracking down on criminals; particularly violent and sexual predators. Absolutely, kick them out.
But there are a lot of genuinely sweet people who just want a better life for themselves and their kids.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Yes, they should immigrate legally. But even legal immigration in our country is a convoluted, expensive, and lengthy process. Mistakes happen. Corners get cut in desperation.
We need to simplify it.
We need to open the door for hard working, honest, family-folks like Samuel, while keeping out malevolent threats.
This shouldn’t be complicated.
People are making it complicated.

Gay Klingon actor Karim Diané says “Starfleet Academy Season 2” is “GAY AF,” and that he plans to be “EVEN LOUDER and more annoying about this beautiful gay Klingon.”
As a gay man myself, I have to ask: WHO IS THIS BEING DONE FOR?
I don’t watch it because I don’t need my identity affirmed by fantasy characters who possess none of the values I hold dear.
I have a liberal black gay friend who’s a diehard Trek fan, but even he doesn’t watch it because, as he puts it, “it’s not Trek.”
And when you remember that Season 1 only 400,000 viewers FOR ALL 10 EPISODES, you have to wonder who they’re doubling down on this gay agenda for.
WHY IS ELLISON WASTING MONEY PUTTING THIS OUT?
Then Diané makes it clear why:
“If anybody was upset by gay things in the first season, prepare to be pissed off.”
That should be the adopted slogan of EVERYTHING coming out of Hollywood today.
Because it's all being made NOT to entertain us...
...but to OUTRAGE us.
Well, consider me outraged enough to NOT WATCH IT.
Warner Bros. shelved its $90 million Batgirl movie.
Ellison should do the same to this godawful show.
But hey, after wasting BILLIONS trying to rewrite humanity with wokeness, what's another $100 million flushed down the toilet, right?

I’ve never heard of Samuel Sey, but I hope that globalist evangelicals I used to respect and wish I still did - Joel, Meg Basham, Erick Erickson - come to understand that
- American immigration laws must apply equally enemies and friends.

Update from the Seys: the family and their lawyer have been working to get to the bottom of the situation and will be releasing a statement in the next few days.
My statement: Please continue to pray for the family as they navigate this! It seems to me they’ve made good faith efforts to follow the law, and are making every effort to cooperate and do the right thing.
Broadly speaking, the problem with the Republican Party is not its platform or Republican voters. It’s that, very often, the GOP primary options are garbage, so the GOP general election options are garbage. Really just awful people.
Pick better candidates.

Apostates stick together. This isn’t news.
I am a husband, father, and lifelong Texan. I’ve been a Christian since I was 5 and a pastor since I was 19.
And I just proudly voted for James Talarico, Gina Hinojosa, Jon Rosenthal, and Vikki Goodwin.
While it’s true that Ken Paxton is as corrupt and morally bankrupt as they come, Greg Abbott has decimated our public schools, Dan Patrick is bought and paid for by right-wing billionaires, and Bo French wears his racism on his sleeve, I didn’t just vote AGAINST candidates I know will do a bad job. I had the privilege of voting FOR candidates who will do a great job!
I originally connected with Jimmy Talarico many years ago (long before he got famous) and we became friends shortly after. He’s the exact same guy in private as he is in public—kindhearted, whip smart, hardworking, and very serious about following Jesus’ call to care for all people, especially the most vulnerable. That’s who he’s been in ministry, in the Texas Legislature, and I have no doubt that’s who he’ll be as a United States Senator too.
I’ve also gotten to speak with Gina Hinojosa, Jon Rosenthal, and Vikki Goodwin this year. I believe they will fight for two things that are very important to my family and so many people in our church community:
1. An economy where every Texan can afford to have their basic needs met.
2. Fully funded public schools where all children can thrive.
I’m not telling you who to vote for; I’m just telling you who I chose to vote for and why.
We are in a critical moment in both the United States and Texas, so I hope you vote. And if you are a follower of Jesus, I hope you see your vote as a way to prioritize the way of Jesus—sacrificial love of neighbor and justice for those who have been marginalized.

We saw this coming with Zach Lambert and removed him as a seminary intern at Prestonwood. A sad case of apostasy on display now
Replying to @ZachWLambert
Christian since 5. Pastor since 19. That's a résumé, Zach, not a confession. Arius was ordained too. An apostate rarely leaves the church. He stays in the pulpit and rewrites the faith. That's you.
You told a same-sex couple their marriage "brings great joy to the heart of God." You posted that there are "absolutely no 'biblical' grounds for being anti-trans." Jesus disagreed: "From the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female'" (Mark 10:6).
Baker Publishing carries us both as authors. I'd ask them to put our pictures as far apart as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Jesse Myers needs to take care of that or I am out at Baker. @ReadBakerBooks
You champion a man who told the Texas House "God is non-binary" and used Luke 1 to defend abortion. Luke calls the child in the womb a brephos, a baby (1:41), the same word he uses for Jesus in the manger. The most vulnerable Texan can't vote. You just voted against him.
You described "the way of Jesus" without the cross. Paul called that a different gospel and its preacher anathema, set apart for destruction (Galatians 1:8). Jude called such men "waterless clouds" and "fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted" (Jude 12).
Repent while the door is open.
Okay. Now let’s see what sort of people were allowed to run for office, vote, and immigrate at the founding of the United States.
No, really, let’s do this.
There are three men alive today who history will credit more than anyone else with saving western civilization.
One is @RupertLowe10.
One is @elonmusk.
One is @nayibbukele.

We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.
We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries.
That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next.
Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells.
Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it.

And when they do?
They’ve vowed to kill the filibuster, pack the Court, and do away with the Electoral College, thus stealing every election from now on.
All while prosecuting and persecuting anyone remotely associated with the Trump administration.
Their words, not mine.

Because DC is only giving us villains as heroes and heroes who act like villains...
...and because "female empowerment" has become just a license to kill, “Penguin” creator Lauren LeFranc is in talks to produce an HBO/DC series about super-villain Poison Ivy.
No cast or writer details are available yet, but here's what we can predict with confidence:
SHE WILL HARM PEOPLE.
Those people will be almost exclusively MEN.
She'll be given a tragic backstory and LINGERING TRAUMA.
And she'll be portrayed as a MISUNDERSTOOD HERO who DESERVES TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER.
You really don't need a crystal ball to see it anymore.
