A line from Memphis → Nashville → Chattanooga → Atlanta would be a GAME CHANGER.
This would take significant pressure off our interstates and make traveling across the region much easier, cleaner, and efficient.
I know I'll be first in line to ride.

Breaking: a *severe* geomagnetic storm is ongoing right now.
IF it persists into tonight, cities like Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis and Portland — perhaps farther south — could see the northern lights (assuming folks escape the city).
This is a level 8 out of 9 episode.

Strong to severe geomagnetic storms continue, bringing #aurora well down into Europe.
Chances for aurora as far south as California, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Alabama, etc if the storms hold in intensity headed into this evening, otherwise, a good portion of the U.S. should still have a chance to see something.
Head away from city lights and find an unobstructed view of the northern horizon!
Please refer to our maps we've posted earlier for more information on where you may be able to see the Northern Lights tonight.

Around a year from today, a historical event will be on the brink of unfolding. 😳
April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse will occur. The path of the eclipse will traverse our country from southwest to northeast.
I’m excited, I wish it was this year!
Here’s to hoping the weather is gorgeous then and we aren’t dealing with any pesky severe weather!

🌪️ ON THIS DAY- Last Year: A 10% tornado risk was placed over parts of southern Georgia. I had a strong feeling the day would produce something photogenic, and it did. When I saw the extremely low base of this storm over the somewhat rare chase friendly terrain, I knew it was time. I remember calling @BrandonCopicWx and telling him that he better turn back around and get on this storm if he wants to see a tornado.
This, in roughly 8.5 years of chasing, has been my favorite moment. No one else around, no other chasers, not really any other video. Just simple forecasting.
I also remember specifically forgetting to put my oil fill cap back on and blowing a bunch of oil everywhere on the way north to catch this thing.
I do have stabilized video of this, but I’m not at my office.
