Only a few weeks into the school year and we’ve already collected 49 postcards from 10 states and 13 countries/territories 🌍📬 @MXRComets @alabamagifted #PostcardProject #ALgifted
This week we used @canva to create natural disaster readiness posters. They did such a good job! @alabamagifted
Thank you to @SchoolsFdtn for honoring Madison County, Madison City, and Huntsville City Teachers of the Year last night. It was a beautiful evening celebrating our teachers and the fine arts. @MadCoSchools @alabamagifted
I highly recommend making a team Christmas card 🎄 Merry Christmas from @MXRComets Special Forces 💫
“You have unique cups!”
“What is that???”
“Something is different!”
“Why is your cup so big?”
“Is that a book?”
Anything but a cup day!
It’s World Violin Day 🎻 I love spreading Christmas cheer at @MXRComets by playing Christmas music in the hallway for everyone to hear 🎄 @alabamagifted @MadCoSchools
What an honor to be selected as the 2024-2025 @MXRComets Teacher of the Year ✨ @MadCoSchools @alabamagifted
I was in second grade when I watched @SarahHughesNY win gold in Salt Lake City. I looked up to her so much, and now one of my own students selected Sarah Hughes to research for her Olympian Project! Perhaps she will become a future figure skater one day!
I am so proud of the hard work these kids put into their Olympian Wax Museum presentations! They each selected their athlete, researched, made their poster, and wrote their speech all by themselves. Way to go ACE! @alabamagifted @Olympics @katieledecky @rayssaleal
4th grade ACE takes Camp McDowell! 🏕️ We planted, harvested, canoed, hiked, explored, learned, and made lasting memories 🐖 @MXRComets @alabamagifted
What happens when you give ACE kids three globes—two modern ones and one from the 1970s—and ask them to find Yugoslavia? Some confusion, insistence that it either is or isn’t on the globe, and a great introduction into our new mini-unit. @alabamagifted
