We will be carrying out general maintenance works on the bridge from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th October, between 8am and 4pm each day.
To ensure our teams can work safely, traffic management will be in place, with one lane closed along the length of the bridge. The lane closure will change each day as the works progress, with traffic management generally operating in one direction at a time.
The times stated are the earliest start and latest finish times for the works. Exact start times will depend on traffic volumes.
Please take extra care when travelling through the traffic management. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
Traffic Update: We are currently open to all traffic.

On this day in 1974, the North Tower was at full height and work was underway on the top crossbeam. In the first image, you can see the Hessle Whiting Mill and - behind that - the area that would become the Country Park Inn. On ground level, the Hessle Anchorage was taking shape.
At the time, Bay City Rollers topped the album chart with Rollin', while cinema audiences were still flocking to see The Exorcist.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: Strong winds are expected in our area from tomorrow evening (Friday 23 October) until at least Sunday evening (25 October), as two consecutive storms (Austen and Boelo) reach the UK.
We are working closely with our Weather Forecast Service to monitor the situation and will take the appropriate action if we feel there is a risk i.e. speed restrictions, closing the bridge to high-sided and wind-vulnerable vehicles, or closing the footpaths.
If you are planning on crossing the bridge over the next few days, please check the latest traffic and travel info on our website humberbridge.co.uk before setting off, and be prepared to add extra time to your journey.
