This work is always staggeringly fascinating.
Are you ready for today’s breakthrough? …and this piece of artificial limestone, with clear textile imprints, shows us the way limestone was invented. Yes, textile imprints. Come on, it’s not natural, it’s not erosion if that was me who squeezed its juice out with a handkerchief! Interestingly, this rock-solid artificial limestone is: 1.impossible to make because I didn’t wait billions of years, and 2.just a byproduct of producing something else. Ingredients: natron + ? So the artificial limestone was invented while producing a completely different material for entirely different uses. These stones just piled up until someone had an idea to use them for building projects. I would not be surprised if watermelon-sized limestone pieces were found somewhere in a ditch. Wow, this piece of stone is just fantastic! So hard I could break that glass with it! @Graham__Hancock

Is “I’m having an old friend for dinner. Bye…” one of the best last lines in a movie, or what?

It has been fascinating chatting with @UndisclosedDocs in the last couple of days (and the other listeners) discussing the broad range of ancient history we have available. Presently, Twitter/X is fixated on the school-ground name-calling arguments rather intellectual debate...

... which don't actually answer anything other than say "explain this". This is not science. The shoulders of the giants we sit on should be a platform to reach up. "Content creating" has replaced research and now the *archaologists* don't even know what study is.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll do another TwitterSpace - we've touched on a number of subjects broadly - and hope to engage with those interested too. The answers are out there folks - don't get waylaid by the accounts on here that are AI/bots and trolls.

UK Population is 68.4 million. An extra 1.6 million coming into the UK (net) plus an extra 600k births is a 3% increase in the whole population size. That might not seem a lot but it is a HUGE amount. The UK budget for all items needs a rethink. This is unsustainable.
