In among the silver birches,
Winding ways of tarmac wander
And the signs to Bussock Bottom,
Tussock Wood and Windy Break.
Gabled lodges, tile-hung churches
Catch the lights of our Lagonda
As we drive to Wendy’s party,
Lemon curd and Christmas cake
Rich the makes of motor whirring
Past the pine plantation purring
Come up Hupmobile Delage.
Short the way our chauffeurs travel
Crunching over private gravel,
Each from out his warm garage.
O but Wendy, when the carpet
Yielded to my indoor pumps.
There you stood, your gold hair streaming,
Handsome in the hall light gleaming
There you looked and there you led me
Off into the game of Clumps.
Then the new Victrola playing;
And your funny uncle saying
"Choose your partners for a foxtrot.
Dance until it's tea o'clock
Come on young 'uns, foot it feetly."
Was it chance that paired us neatly?
I who loved you so completely.
You who pressed me closely to you,
Hard against your party frock.
"Meet me when you've finished eating."
So we met and no one found us.
O that dark and furry cupboard,
While the rest played hide-and-seek.
Holding hands our two hearts beating.
In the bedroom silence round us
Holding hands and hardly hearing
Sudden footstep, thud and shriek
Love that lay too deep for kissing.
"Where is Wendy? Wendy's missing."
Love so pure it had to end.
Love so strong that I was frightened
When you gripped my fingers tight.
And hugging, whispered "I'm your friend."
Goodbye Wendy. Send the fairies,
Pinewood elf and larch tree gnome.
Spingle-spangled stars are peeping
At the lush Lagonda creeping
Down the winding ways of tarmac
To the leaded lights of home.
There among the silver birches,
All the bells of all the churches
Sounded in the bath-waste running
Out into the frosty air.
Wendy speeded my undressing.
Wendy is the sheet's caressing
Wendy bending gives a blessing.
Holds me as I drift to dreamland
Safe inside my slumber wear

Elon often says forgiveness is divine.
He's right. But forgiveness requires clarity first. You can't forgive what you refuse to understand.
So let's be precise about who we're talking about when we talk about the radical left. There are three kinds.
The naive.
They were sold a beautiful story and they bought it. Equality, justice, compassion. Who wouldn't? Then the story started failing, and instead of updating, they doubled down. It's a kind of Stockholm syndrome: defending the very ideology that hurts them. Most of the time it's not stupidity. It's context. Their friends, their job, their university, their whole social world depends on them not seeing it. Waking up would cost them everything. I understand that. I have real compassion for them.
The cynical opportunists.
They figured out that playing progressive was good for business. Good for their career, their brand, their access. They don't believe a word of it. In private they'll tell you that's just how the game works. They're not evil. They're cowards. They saw the truth and chose comfort.
The cynical corrupt.
These are the dangerous ones. The Soros. The Pigasse in France. They know exactly what this ideology produces. They've seen the results: broken cities, broken schools, broken families. They know it's a mess that only delivers misery. And they push it anyway, because it serves them. Not a trace of empathy for the people who pay the price.
Now here's the part that matters.
When this era ends, and it is ending, no one should be persecuted for their ideas. Not one person.
We'll need to move on fast. And the message to most people should simply be: you were wrong. Here's why.
It wasn't entirely your fault. Education was captured. For decades, institutions installed broken software in millions of minds. Young people, good people, curious people who didn't yet have the mental immune system to resist it. That's not a crime. That's a tragedy. And the answer to a tragedy is repair, not revenge.
But forgiveness is not amnesia.
Those who committed actual crimes must be held accountable. Fraud, corruption, abuse of power. Investigated, judged, punished. That's justice, and justice is non-negotiable.
But only them. Individuals, for what they did. Never groups, for what they thought.
The moment you start hunting people by category, you become the thing you fought against. We don't get to copy the witch hunt playbook and call it victory.
Judge actions, not labels. Punish crimes, not opinions. Forgive the rest.
That's how a civilization heals.

The Restore Britain Budget.
Britain has spent decades being governed by politicians who believe the answer to every problem is yet more government - that policy has destroyed our country.
More spending. More borrowing. More regulation. More taxes. More state.
Parasitic overreach into our lives - delivered by politicians and civil servants who have no understanding or appreciation of how real wealth and opportunity is generated in the private sector.
And what have the British people received in return?
A country where working families struggle. Where businesses face punishing costs. Where young people cannot afford homes. Where failing public services demand ever more money, whilst prioritising endless third world migrants. Where inflation runs rampant.
For British men and women, it is a government-backed scam. Corrupt incompetence.
It is impossible for Britain to tax itself into prosperity. I repeat, IMPOSSIBLE.
Wealth is created by people - the public sector should exist to support the private sector, not the reverse and that is the principle which underpins our philosophy.
Restore Britain backs the farmer producing food, the white van man driving the economy, the engineer designing machinery, the shopkeeper serving customers and the entrepreneur risking everything to start a business.
It comes down to this - Restore Britain will protect their freedom to succeed.
If you work hard and contribute, we are on your side.
Our Budget would begin the work of returning power, responsibility and money to the British people.
First, the spending cuts - to come before ANY reductions in tax.
Our 20 point plan to restore prosperity…
1. Freeze working-age benefit rates.
We will freeze working-age benefit rates for the duration of the first Parliament. Britain cannot indefinitely increase expenditure without considering the burden on the people funding it. That would be morally wrong. The healthy indolent will not be rewarded.
2. Restrict welfare eligibility.
No more benefits for foreigners, saving billions. No need to expand.
3. Reform sickness and disability benefits
We will overhaul eligibility, assessment procedures and return-to-work support.
People with serious disabilities and health conditions must receive appropriate protection.
But those who can work, will work. If they refuse, they will be put to work. That simple.
4. Reform pensions.
We will protect the State Pension while replacing the triple lock with annual CPI uprating. Public-sector pension arrangements will be overhauled to address differences with private-sector provision.
These measures will save tens of billions - all outlined in full in our economic paper, The Wealth Of Our Nation.
Next, take an axe to unnecessary government spending
5. The quango bonfire.
We will conduct a comprehensive review of arm's-length public bodies, the default will be abolish unless there is a serious reason to retain. Where its functions duplicate a government department, consolidate them. Deliver accountability and savings. AI will mean vast cuts are possible.
A LOT of Whitehall civil servants will lose their jobs. To be frank.
6. Freeze most departmental budgets.
We will introduce a three-year nominal spending freeze across most government departments - the main exception will be our programme of mass deportations, which in the short term will cost, however as we know, any immediate funds will be quickly recovered and then some.
7. End public spending on Net Zero.
We will end all public expenditure directed towards achieving Net Zero. Energy security will be our main priority. We will support investment in dependable domestic energy supplies, including the infrastructure needed to maintain a resilient electricity system. Energy security will be placed above any ideological dogma. If it makes Britain more resilient, we will pursue it.
8. Review government consultancy and discretionary expenditure.
We will audit consultancy contracts, procurement services, and ALL external advisory work - spending that cannot demonstrate a clear public benefit should end.
The procurement scam will end.
All bullshit ESG and social value nonsense will be stripped away - if the public sector wants to use a third party firm, make it the best one - subject to right-to-work checks to ensure no illegals are being employed.
As stated - spending cuts first, then tax cuts. Done carefully and responsibly. Here’s an overview of how a Restore Britain Government will lift the tax burden…
9. Raise the income tax personal allowance to £16,000.
Nobody should be paying income tax on their first £16,000 of earnings.
We will raise the personal allowance and extend the basic-rate income tax band to £100,000.
We will also restore the full personal allowance to higher earners, ending the withdrawal that creates exceptionally high effective marginal tax rates.
Success will be rewarded, hard work will be rewarded, ambition will be rewarded.
10. Cut corporation tax.
We will introduce a zero corporation tax rate on the first £50,000 of company profits.
Above that threshold, we will restore the headline rate to 19%, with a longer-term ambition of 15%. As soon as fiscal conditions allow.
Let’s give small businesses the genuine breathing room to get their operation off the ground, and then use the corporation tax cut to compete with our neighbours.
11. Abolish inheritance tax and stamp duty.
Families should not be punished for saving, investing and passing assets to their children.
We will abolish inheritance tax.
For farmers, for family businesses, for everyone.
The state has no claim to a family's lifetime of accumulated wealth simply because somebody has died. I detest it. It will be binned for all.
Stamp duty makes moving home more expensive, discourages mobility and creates unnecessary friction in the housing market.
We will abolish it.
12. Reduce disruptive tax.
We will cut the standard rate of VAT from 20% to 18%.
We will also raise the VAT registration threshold to £150,000, helping smaller businesses grow without immediately facing additional tax burden. The amount of businesses hovering just under the current threshold is painful. The issue is OBVIOUS, yet nobody in government has thought to act.
And we will ditch unnecessary taxes.
We will abolish:
Insurance Premium Tax.
Air Passenger Duty.
The Climate Change Levy.
The UK Emissions Trading Scheme.
We will also substantially increase the annual Capital Gains Tax exemption.
Restore Britain’s objective is a tax system that is simpler, more predictable and less hostile to investment.
Next, we will restore a state that works for our people.
13. Hold the NHS accountable.
The NHS will remain free at the point of use for British citizens.
We propose charging non-citizens at market rates - ensuring they actually pay the bills.
We will make private healthcare expenditure tax deductible. If people want to go private, let’s make it cheaper.
Alongside far-reaching structural reform, we will demand basic improvements in patient communication. Answer the telephone. Confirm referrals. Explain test results. Keep patients informed. Use AI to clear pressure on GPs.
All patient-facing staff must demonstrate the English-language communication skills necessary to perform their roles safely. If staff can’t speak English to the required standard, they will no longer have a job.
14. Restore Britain’s education system.
We will move towards greater school-level autonomy, with funding more closely linked to pupil numbers.
We will remove VAT from private education and make private education tax deductible.
We will also promote practical education, apprenticeships and stronger links between schools and employers. The aim will be to prepare children for working adulthood - full paper to come.
Apprenticeships are vital - my businesses have developed hundreds and hundreds. It works, especially with the rise of AI.
Student loan interest abolished for British nationals resident in the UK, full paper published.
An overhaul of childcare regulation and funding - led by those in the sector who know what’s necessary and what’s not.
Next.
The Restore Britain Budget will work to restore a self-sufficient Britain, backed by sovereign AI capabilities.
15. Support British farming and food security.
We will review the regulatory and tax burdens facing British farmers.
Food security must be recognised as a matter of national resilience and urgency. That will be central to everything.
We will make it FAR easier for domestic producers to compete for public-sector food contracts and examine ways to reduce unnecessary administration. Let’s use the public sector spend to back our own people, not import from foreign farmers.
Britain should not become increasingly dependent on imported food while making it harder for its own farmers to survive. And we desperately need to bring more young people into the industry…
16. Ease pressure on transport network.
We will rebuild Britain's transport network, tackling potholes, congestion and crumbling infrastructure while improving vital freight routes and rural roads - motorists will no longer be treated as cash cows. Fuel duty cut, and plenty more. (Full paper about to be published.)
Get this right, and the whole economy is lubricated.
17. Back small businesses.
We will review regulations introduced over recent decades, with a presumption in favour of removing law. Compliance simplified, licensing stripped back. Administrative burdens burned away. Scrap IR35, obviously.
Business rates abolished for small high street businesses. Review car park charges. Boost police numbers in town centres.
Restore confidence on the high street. Bring footfall back. Watch businesses thrive.
18. Develop sovereign AI capability.
AI is coming whether we like it or not. We need to ensure that we have our own protected AI capability which can promote and defend our own interests. We’re already falling behind, and it’s getting worse. We have the opportunity to be a genuine world-leader. Let’s pursue it.
19. A foreign policy that puts Britain’s interests first.
No endless foreign wars driving up the cost of living for ordinary families, no foreign aid unless explicitly to advance our interests. We will prioritise national security, trade, energy independence and protecting British citizens abroad.
Spending will be increased, but our armed forces exist to defend Britain and our vital national interests, not to act as the world's policeman.
20. Protect sound money and fiscal stability. This is the most important of all.
We will pursue a balanced Budget over the medium term and a declining debt-to-GDP ratio. Our aim is to cut the debt, not just the deficit.
The era of mass money printing will end. Inflation will be controlled. The cost-of-living reduced.
The aim - a Britain that belongs to its people
Every Budget promises change, while the state grows larger and the taxpayer becomes poorer.
Restore Britain offers a completely different direction.
A smaller government that spends less - all helped by a massive reduction in the number of migrants living in Britain.
Doing a small list of things, but doing them well.
A welfare state that protects genuine need and expects personal responsibility.
A tax system that rewards work, saving and enterprise.
Public services that answer to the people who fund them.
An economy built on productive businesses rather than a parasitic state.
We do not believe the British people need politicians to manage every aspect of their lives.
We believe they need the freedom to build better lives for themselves.
In short - we will stop buying votes with other people’s money.
Our ambition is not to make government richer.
It is to restore the prosperity of the British economy, the British nation and the British people.

The Steak Bake Battalions
I have said it for years.
The men who will save this country can be found every morning, from six until half past eight, at almost every Greggs in the land.
They are there before the office lights come on. Before the besuited pen-pushers arrive for their lattes. Before the morning fills with pushchairs, school runs and meetings about meetings.
They are already awake. Already moving. Already at work.
You will know them.
Men in high-vis and cargo shorts. In battered work trousers and steel toe-capped boots. Sometimes in hard hats. Paint-spattered. Plaster-caked. Oil beneath their fingernails. Bags beneath their eyes.
They queue for coffee, bacon rolls and Steak Bakes.
The banter is merciless. The humour is dark. The language is occasionally appalling. But the fellowship is real.
They are the grafters.
Tradesmen. Engineers. Drivers. Fitters. Welders. Bricklayers. Scaffolders. Electricians. Plumbers. Mechanics. Machine operators. Small businessmen. Employers and employees.
Working-class men. Middle-class men. Englishmen, Scotsmen, Welshmen and Northern Irishmen.
British men.
While much of the country still sleeps, they are leaving their wives, their children and their warm homes. They climb into cold vans. They drive through darkness and rain. They go where the work is.
They build Britain.
They keep the lights on and the water flowing. They repair the roads. Raise the scaffolding. Lay the bricks. Weld the steel. Fix the boilers. Clear the drains. Restore the roofs. Mend what is broken.
They rarely appear on television.
Nobody invites them onto fashionable panels. Nobody asks what they think. Nobody in Whitehall seems particularly interested in whether they can afford another van, another apprentice or another year of taxes, regulations and rising costs.
Yet without them, the country stops.
Completely.
These are the descendants of the men of Agincourt and Waterloo. Of the Somme and Dunkirk. Of D-Day, Korea, the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Not trained soldiers, most of them. But recognisably of the same temper.
The same stubbornness. The same humour in adversity. The same refusal to make a song and dance of hardship. The same instinct to shoulder the load, finish the job and look after the man beside them.
They carry an inheritance shaped across centuries. Celt and Pict. Roman and Saxon. Viking and Norman. Generations forged by cold seas, hard ground, long winters, dangerous work and war.
Their forebears built ships, railways, bridges, factories and cities. They crossed oceans. They defeated Napoleon, Hitler and Galtieri. They created an empire of extraordinary reach and consequence, and then spent British blood and treasure destroying the slave trade across much of the world.
They were not flawless men. No nation is flawless.
But they were formidable.
And these men are formidable still.
They are not extremists. They are not fanatics. They do not spend their days raging online. Most ask for very little.
A fair wage. A decent home. Safe streets. A future for their children. The freedom to speak plainly. And a country that remembers who built it.
But beneath the dust, the laughter and the apparent indifference, something remains.
A deep attachment to home.
A quiet patriotism.
A line that can be pushed only so far.
When this country finally decides that mass immigration must end, that integration must mean something, that borders must be real and that Britain must remain recognisably British, it will not be delivered by consultants, commentators or career politicians.
It will be delivered by the people who already carry Britain on their backs.
They are out there every morning.
Millions of them.
Waiting patiently in the half-light. Vans lined along the kerb. Engines ticking. Reflective jackets catching the first grey light of dawn.
Coffee in one hand. Steak Bake in the other.
The backbone of Britain.
The Steak Bake Battalions.

George Kennan on NATO expansion (May 2, 1998): ''I think it is the beginning of a new Cold War... I think the Russians will gradually react quite adversely and it will affect their policies. I think it is a tragic mistake. There was no reason for this whatsoever. No one was threatening anybody else. This expansion would make the Founding Fathers of this country turn over in their graves... Of course there is going to be a bad reaction from Russia, and then [the NATO expanders] will say that we always told you that is how the Russians are -- but this is just wrong.''
Rod Humphris retweeted
We don't have the capacity to take the fight to Russia. The Russians have no interest in coming here.
Provoking Russia into retaliating against us will mean long range missile strikes on our industry and cities. They have hypersonic misdile systems and the world's largest nuclear arsenal. We have no defence against this. It is complete insanity.
The British press tells the world that high tech drones are being made in the U.K. and being supplied to Ukraine from where they are fired into Russia. Some of these new drones are getting through Russian air defences and striking targets inside Russia. Russia says that this must stop or there will be consequences. Our new PM says that Russia can get lost and that the drone supply to Ukraine will continue. Given the lamentable state of the British armed forces - to say nothing of our bankrupt economy - this policy of provoking Russia into war with the U.K. is nothing short of lunacy. There is no public foreign policy debate. There are no dissenting voices in the House of Commons. Unless we open proper diplomatic relations with Moscow which will involve a change of the current U.K. policy, this will end badly for the U.K. I am 76. I do not care for myself but I care for my children and grandchildren.

A very aggressive hit piece on me has just been published in the Daily Telegraph by Allister Heath - labelling me ‘a deluded egotist who is toxifying British politics.’
He gives three examples of why he is so horrified by Restore Britain’s presence.
Number one. The fact I stated my concern around projections that ‘white Britons will become a minority by 2063’.
No statistic greater demonstrates the astounding way mass immigration is changing our country. He calls Restore Britain’s worry around this ‘racism’ and ‘disgusting’.
It should have ‘no place in mainstream politics’.
It’s that attitude which has allowed our communities to transform in front of our very eyes over the last few decades.
It’s not going to work on me.
This brings us on to his second point.
The fact that I highlight how parts of Manchester have essentially been colonised by Islamic populations.
YES.
I stand by every single word.
Communities in places like Rochdale, Oldham, entire districts in Manchester itself.
Replaced. Of course this has happened. My advice to the journalist is this - go and visit, use your eyes.
I did exactly that, and it shocked me.
There is no multiculturalism. There is one culture. One religion. One way of life.
Islam.
I make no apologies for my views on that, and Restore Britain’s efforts to change it.
His third concern? Incredibly…
The fact that Restore Britain has banning halal and kosher slaughter as a policy.
He is offended by my description - ‘barbaric foreign practices that have no place in our high-trust society’.
He calls it ‘despicable’, and it puts me ‘beyond the pale’.
He states that banning halal ‘would trigger a civil war’…
Does that not prove my earlier point correct?
Whatever.
I don’t want millions and millions and millions of animals to be brutally butchered and left to bleed from the neck in the most unimaginable pain. Does that make me ‘despicable’? I think not.
I am a British farmer. In this country, we care for our animals properly. I don’t care if that offends certain religions, I really don’t.
He also takes issue with me labelling cousin marriage non-British. Seriously?
If you are a Telegraph subscriber and you disagree, I suggest you let the paper know. They think your concerns around Halal slaughter are ‘despicable’ or that if you’re worried about parts of Britain becoming mainly Islamic that view is ‘foul’.
If you’re reading this, agreeing with what I’m saying, then join us.
Join Restore Britain.
Let’s get our country back.

I want to be really clear in my response. I am not going to retract anything, I stand by every single word. Labour are calling for me to apologise. The answer is no.
Industrial rape across almost every town and city in Britain.
Sexual torture. Murder. Endless rape.
I sat there for two weeks, listening to these girls.
I heard how one girl was raped by a dog, as Muslim men bet on what the animal would do.
Girls drugged and locked in cages, like rats.
Another, raped by 700 men over three years.
Dozens and dozens of these stories through our inquiry, and we are barely scratching the surface.
This was allowed to happen EXACTLY because politicians were cowards, refusing to discuss it.
I will not make that same mistake. I said what I said, and I meant it.
The Labour Party have blood on their hands, yet they think they can demand an apology from me for highlighting the systemic evil they allowed to infect our entire country?
They can piss off.
I am angry about it. Furious. When you hear directly from these girls about what they have been through, it changes the way you see politics. Forever.
Our report will be out very soon.
When that happens, I don’t want any apologies from the Labour Party. I don’t care about that.
I want to see those politicians responsible for covering up this atrocity behind bars for what they have done to these girls.

Rape Gang Inquiry update.
Our team is currently going through our draft report to ensure that all is legally sound for publication.
The plan is straightforward.
I intend to use parliamentary privilege in the chamber to name a number of the worst perpetrators/officials who we believe have escaped justice.
We will then use private prosecutions to pursue those individuals through the courts, and eventually put them in prison.
These are incredibly dangerous scumbags. It is an national network of organised crime - it is not simply disparate gangs. This is a comprehensive criminal network that is capable of the most evil acts.
I will be informing the police, parliamentary security and the Home Office beforehand of who I intend to name and why - I also now have private security for the first time in my life.
But do not underestimate the danger of these networks. It is organised crime of the very worst kind.
We started this inquiry not to just talk, but to act.
The report will be published after the elections as I want this to be a cross-party effort, and party politics should not interfere with any of our activity.
Numerous Conservative MPs have been supportive, as have the Northern Irish and even a Labour MP attending the hearings. I want this to go beyond petty party politics.
We still have a significant amount of money from the crowdfunder, and that is ready to privately prosecute.
This is where we are. This is the plan.
Thank you to everybody for your support.

Downward Slope |
by: E.M. Burlingame
I’ve been
so busy with life I’ve not lived—
chasing the next ridge, the next fight, the next goddamn rung,
while the real hours bled out behind me like spent casings in the dirt.
The sun came up, the sun went down; I called it winning.
So busy feeling I’ve felt nothing—
heart locked tight in the wire of calendars and calls,
numb to the raw salt sting of loss, the slow burn of a real laugh,
the sudden ache that says you’re still human beneath the armor.
So busy building I’ve not been—
stacking walls, empires, legacies of concrete and code,
while the man who was supposed to live inside them
stood outside in the rain, watching his own shadow thin.
So busy connecting I’ve lost touch—
fingers flying across glass and distance,
yet the weight of my child's hand in mine, the hushed tones of a woman's voice across the table,
the simple press of forehead to forehead—
all of it dissolved into static.
So busy thinking I’ve forgotten—
mind a storm of strategies and what-ifs and endless replays,
lost the taste of dirt after rain, the names of things meant something,
the quiet knowing that needs no words,
the primal pulse that says you're here, right now, alive.
So busy doing I’ve not enjoyed—
hands moving, feet marching, bank account offering its hollow approval,
a life chock filled with experiences and things,
but the marrow-deep yes of a moment fully claimed?
Swallowed whole by the engine I built to keep me moving.
Now I stand on the steepening down slope of a life.
Gray threading the temples. Knees remembering every mile.
The long shadow behind me longer than the path still ahead,
and the wind up here cuts colder, cleaner.
The question claws up from the ribs like an old wound reopening:
Is it too late?
And what about you—
out there in your own frantic weave,
chasing the same ghosts down the same narrowing trail?
Because I know you’re the very same.
We’ve all been architects of our own absence
Hustling, chasing money instead of love.
But listen.
There's still blood hot in the veins.
Lungs still draw the night air, thick with pine and possibility.
The down slope has its own brutal grace—
faster now, steeper, no time left for the pretty lies.
A daughter’s strained laugh cuts sharper against the gathering dark.
The bite of good whiskey. The stubborn decision to stay in it.
The sudden, fierce knowing that even this late,
the heart can still crack open and bleed something real.
It’s never too late to begin living
what little light remains.
Not perfectly.
Not prettily.
Just raw.
Just deep.
Just alive.

The soaring cost of living is suffocating, but let’s not pretend that this is some unstoppable phenomenon.
This is caused by politicians, and it can be solved by politicians - just different politicians who have the courage to do what needs to be done, however unpopular that may be.
Above all else, we need to brutalise the size of the state. I mean brutalise. Like nothing that has ever been seen. A public sector bonfire that is visible from space - that is what Restore Britain would do.
We would deliver a Britain that lives within its means. In fact, we would be forced to go further. The immediate priority has to be paying off the national debt. Vast interest repayments on that debt are a boot on Britain’s neck. Billions and billions, just spent on interest. No household could live like that, so why can we allow the country to do so?
This is debt in our name. It's on us. Our children and grandchildren. What an inheritance that is.
We need to cut the debt, not just the deficit.
I am going to be entirely honest here. That will be painful - really, really painful. There are no easy solutions, no easy times. We had that, and it’s led us here. To hard times. We now need hard solutions. That’s just the honest truth. Don’t like it? Don’t vote Restore Britain. I’m not promising some utopia like the others. I’m telling the truth. What a mad idea that is.
There is one answer, and one answer only.
Hack down the size of the state, and drastically reduce tax. Bring it all down, in a way that’s never been seen before in Britain.
And yes, that will mean the state does less. GOOD. I want hardworking families to keep more of THEIR money, and they can decide how it’s spent. Thresholds raised, rates slashed. VAT, alcohol duty, fuel duty - all cut. Resist the stealth taxes they all pretend don’t exist. We will REWARD work.
I think the state is bad.
I think the individual is good.
I trust the individual to make the decisions that are best for them and their family. I do not trust the bureaucrat to spend your money in the best possible way. Do you?
Growth only comes from the following things.
A far smaller state. Lower taxes. More people working. Fewer people scrounging. Cheaper energy. Stronger borders. A secure society. Actual production.
I want the Government to do a very small list of things, but to do them very well.
Protect our people, protect our borders, protect our interests. Other than that, no thanks.
That is the only way to get the cost of living under control, there is no other way.
We must crush parasitic Britain.
There is now a political party dedicated to doing exactly that.
Restore Britain.

Britain when I was in my 30s was THE best country to live in the world. London was THE best city. I cannot tell you what a special place it was. Everyone, all over the world, wanted to live in Britain.
I look now at the cards our country has dealt young British men and women? It’s a proper miserable deal, isn’t it?
Student loans, for example. It is a suffocating graduate debt. NINE percent, over a very low threshold. That’s just brutal. Any real chance of saving, gone. NINE grand a year to even go to university. We break their backs before they even start working.
Restore Britain would scrap interest on student loans altogether - funded by removing eligibility to foreign nationals who in the many, many thousands abscond and fail to pay a penny back.
Wider tax, even more pain.
Just remember, workers, when you’re walking to the office in the pissing rain that your efforts are funding some Somalian family to sit on benefits doing sod all. You work, so others don’t have to. We would ban foreigners from benefits altogether, and we could get the healthy British shirking class off their backsides and out picking litter and cleaning graffiti.
Painful, yes. Necessary, absolutely.
We need to brutally cut tax, and brutally slash down the size of the state. Do those two things in tandem, and just watch how the clouds lift for men and women who are putting in the hours and getting nowhere.
Let’s say a young couple manage to scratch together 20k for a deposit after paying 2k a month in rent. What do they get? A pokey little flat in Lewisham? They don’t even own it, due to ludicrous leasehold rules? Spending an hour commuting each way, on filthy, packed trains? Not exactly the American dream is it?
The system STINKS.
Possibly one positive development thanks to technology - working from home. Farage wants it to end, and attacks the idea of ‘work-life’ balance.
Restore Britain’s position is clear on private sector employees working from home - WE DO NOT CARE. And actually, a positive work-life balance is a good thing. People care, people are happy, they work better. Anyone who has actually run a proper business would understand that.
People my age say oh well the youngsters don’t work hard enough, they don’t save, they spend too much. Possibly for some. False for an overwhelming majority. It is an objective fact that buying a home when I was younger was SO much easier than now. Cutting down on flat whites will not solve the entire problem, CLEARLY.
Look at childcare. Maybe they want to start a family. Good for them. Oh wait, they examine the costs of childcare. Thousands a month. When the damn thing is only open six hours a day. Vast waiting list to even get in? It just doesn't work. Nothing works.
Restore Britain would give vast tax breaks to working parents to ensure that a parent can stay with the child if they choose, or make childcare more affordable.
Reward families with meaningful relief. Raise thresholds, widen VAT exemptions for essential child-related items, and expand tax-deductible childcare costs.
We would front-load child benefit - pay more of the money in the earlier years, when the help is really required. Only British nationals would be eligible to receive that.
Stamp duty, gone for British nationals. An insidious tax that further punishes ambition and success.
We will support young men and women who want to get on, build a family and find their way in the world. I want these people to have the same opportunity that my generation had. That's all.
The vast majority want a Government that will enable them to succeed, and then leave them the hell alone.
They now have a political party that will do exactly that.
Restore Britain.
