On the afternoon of October 28 local time, the National Cultural Heritage Administration received two cultural relics returned by Australia to China at the National Gallery of Australia: the head of a civil official statue from Yongchangling, and the head of a military official statue from Yongyuling—both from the Northern Song imperial tombs.

With their feet 30 to 35 cm above the ground, they leaned forward and drove the poles toward the finish line. Once used by Miao and Tujia ethnic people to cross flooded ground, stilt racing became an official event at China's national ethnic games in 2003. #Hunan #China

On October 25, in Mayang Miao Autonomous County, Huaihua, Hunan, Zhang Xue took on an open-water riding challenge aboard a custom-modified MX450 personal watercraft—and smashed the #GuinnessWorldRecord with a distance of 40.74 kilometers. Guinness World Records officials oversaw and certified the whole attempt on site, making the new record official.
Seventeen years on, Zhang Xue finally fulfilled a wish that had remained unfulfilled, right on the river back home. Villagers lined the bank to witness the thrilling moment together.（摄影：滕树明）
