Today we mark the International Day in Memory of the Victims of Earthquakes. In Feb 2023, a devastating quake in 🇹🇷 and 🇸🇾 claimed tens of thousands of lives and destroyed entire cities. We remember the victims 🕯️ and honor those who helped others in the hardest times. 🤍

Today is #EarthDay! 🌍 This day is not only about protecting the environment - it also reminds us just how fragile our planet truly is. In recent years, natural disasters have become increasingly frequent and severe across the globe. Yet our mission remains unchanged.

Support strengthens communities. 🤝 Crises do not only change individual lives — they also test entire communities. 🌍 Through the Hungary Helps Program, we support communities so they can preserve their faith, culture, and identity where they have lived for generations. 🕊️

We bring help directly to where it’s needed. Over the past 8 years, we have carried out more than 500 projects across 60+ countries - bringing hope to 2.5 million people and creating real opportunities for them to #stay, #rebuild, and #shape their future on their homeland.

Easter is the celebration of hope. “And hope does not put us to shame.” (Romans 5:5) Remembering the victims of the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter attacks. Through #HungaryHelps, Hungary supported affected families and orphaned children. Hope is also solidarity.

Through the Hungary Helps Program, we work with partners in the field to support communities facing the greatest challenges. Today we stand in solidarity with UN staff who have gone missing or been detained while serving others. 🌍 #UN #HumanitarianAid

#RightToTruth ⚖️ Today we mark the International Day for the Right to the Truth. We remember the victims of gross human rights violations and affirm: everyone has the right to the truth. Hungary Helps stands with persecuted religious communities so their voices are heard.

#WorldWaterDay 💧 Clean water isn’t guaranteed everywhere. In many regions, unsafe water sources make even basic hygiene difficult. The Hungary Helps Program supports well-drilling projects in Nigeria, Kenya & Ethiopia. 🚰 Clean water is a basic human need, not a privilege. 💙

#InternationalDayOfHappiness 🌍 Hope endures—even in the toughest conditions. Through the Hungary Helps Program, we see how solidarity and care turn small moments into real strength. Expanding peace, security, and dignity worldwide is our shared responsibility. 🤝

🎥 Meet Loris Gharib, a widowed mother from Northern Lebanon working in a dairy plant supported by Hungary Helps. The program creates local jobs & stability—helping communities build their future at home. 🤝🌍

Knowledge creates value when it changes lives. Through the Hungary Helps Program, Hungarian experts support communities worldwide: vision screenings in Kenya, surgeries in Ethiopia, water safety in Uganda, agriculture in Madagascar, and heritage protection in Syria & Lebanon.

When droughts, floods and desertification destroy farmland, communities lose their livelihoods. Through the Hungary Helps Program, Hungarian expertise supports sustainable farming in Africa and the Middle East. Productive land means the chance to stay and build a future at home.
