Hunstanton Promenade parkrun

Rain, rain, stayed away. No. 166 | Hunstanton Promenade parkrun parkrun.org.uk/hunstantonpro… #parkrun

Hunstanton Promenade parkrun launches the first ever wheelbarrow run this Saturday 6th April. Double credits will be awarded to any pair who complete the full 5k course in under 2 hours. We look forward to welcoming you to this fun new means of participating 😆

Although we're no strangers at Sunny Hunny to some challenging meteorological conditions at times, we do so love it when the weather is kind to us, the wind drops, it’s dry and even sunny as it was today, the start of our summer route. Full report here. parkrun.org.uk/hunstantonpro…

We welcomed an intrepid 121 runners and walkers at Hunstanton Prom parkrun this morning, including 46 first timers to the course. There was a chilly wind that made fiddly jobs such as timekeeping and barcodes more of a challenge.... parkrun.org.uk/hunstantonpro…

Great turnout last Saturday on the prom in very blowy conditions! facebook.com/share/v/c3jnHCM…

EXCITING NEWS - There will definitely be some weather at our parkrun on Saturday. Further details on Friday (or check your t-shirt on Saturday when you walk, jog or run with us). We could do with a few more marshals in case it’s foggy. Please message or email if interested.

If you wish to pop on a red nose or wear fancy dress on Saturday then feel free, but please don't feel obliged to (Brian the grumpy Run Director will not be wearing a red nose so don't get too excited) comicrelief.com/parkrundonat…

Join us on July 8th as we celebrate 75 years of the NHS. blog.parkrun.com/uk/2023/06/…

A very big thank you to the 17 hi vis heroes yesterday and a big well done to all the 65 people that ran, walked or jogged.  6 of you recorded a new PB - congrats!! 22 of you joined Hunstanton for the first time, great to see you and hopefully see you again soon.

At a loose end on Saturday morning? Then why not come along to Hunstanton Promenade Parkrun and be a volunteer. We are still looking for people to fill some spaces on our rota. Have a look at what opportunities are on offer at parkrun.org.uk/hunstantonpro… Thank you.

Pics of some of our great volunteers today. Thank you to them all for giving up their time and to Sandra for taking the photos. If you want to volunteer in the future just contact us via our website or message us. Thanks.

Pooch to 5k - week 12 / final week… the finale!! Had to finish Dougie’s training at Hunstanton Promenade parkrun today!!! Pictures show before (giving him a prep talk 😂, and after.. and then now!! 💤 👍🐶🏃‍♀️). He’s passed, he’s now an official runner 👍Awesome turn out today!

No waves to worry about this week, but a stronger than expected wind was blowing along the prom to challenge todays runners and walkers. This week 83 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 17 were first timers and 11 recorded new Personal Bests.

A dry but breezy day for our 104th parkrun. We welcomed 105 people who ran, jogged or walked the course with finish times ranging from 18 to 58 minutes (so please come along whatever your walking, jogging or running pace!) 34 people were first timers to Hunstanton.

Next Saturday, as part of the national movement 'Food Bank Run' Hunstanton Promenade Parkrun will be collecting non perishable food and toiletry items for the foodbank. If you can, please come along with items which will be given out by the foodbank to families in need.
