It has been a true honor to serve as President of Brooklyn Young Democrats.
Although it is bittersweet to leave leadership of BYD after 4 years, I am excited to continue serving my home borough in the City Government.

Bittersweet news: BYD Prez @HuntRabinowitz is stepping down to accept a position in city government! The indefatigable @Monae_BK will take over as the new head of BYD.
We're so proud of Hunter's leadership, and we wish him the best in his new role! Read his statement below.

Almost 20 years ago, Bay Ridge Dems started in the living rooms of Joanne Seminara & Scott Klein. People said we were nuts. We’d never turn Bay Ridge blue. @chrismccreight was there from day one, a driving force behind every race we ran. And now he’s going to Albany.💪🏼

The real lesson of tonight is that Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” is the most cursed song in history.
I remember being in my HS sociology class hearing about Blexas and scoffing at the idea that could ever happen.
Today, I’m shook that it’s possible. Senator-elect Talarico (D-TX), what a night.

I am so happy that Bernie Sanders is with us today to be able to see the fruits of his labor. He cultivated a whole generation of young leaders through the movement he spawned who are now winning seats everywhere. And he gets to live to witness it. Thank you, Bernie.

Fun fact: if you live in NYC, you don’t have to travel far to feel the sweet joy of flipping seats from Republican to Democrat.
Can’t wait for @chrismccreight to flip a southern Brooklyn Assembly seat blue tonight!
