A high borrow fee doesn’t automatically make a stock mintable on-chain.
Right now: → PCLA costs 1,142.95% a year to short, but has no on-chain price feed → AAPL costs 0.25% a year to short, and does have one
The stock that’s hardest to short can’t become a synthetic yet. The one that can is easy to short anyway.
That’s the gap INVARA is mapping.

7/ Practical next steps that would tighten the loop:
→ Make the “mintable” filter the default view in the Borrow Screener so the highest-fee names with price feeds sit at the top → Publish a short public list of the next price feeds being prioritized → Add a simple shareable result card from the screener or bot (ticker, borrow fee, shares available, price-feed status, estimated cost difference vs vault) → Post the remaining steps before mainnet minting (audit status, first market parameters, debt ceiling) so the timeline is clear
8/ If the data and the keyless vault line up on the names that are actually expensive to short, traders get an on-chain way to take that exposure without the traditional borrow fee.
If the feeds stay concentrated on easy-to-short stocks and the mainnet vault stays delayed, the analytics stay useful but the original gap never closes.
9/ Spent time in the docs, the screener, the terminal, and the testnet. A few notes on the next markets and how the data could travel further.
Happy to share them.
@INVARACore
6/ Where it still sits:
The mainnet vault is still marked coming soon. The Quant Terminal currently shows “no vault data” and loading states for the discrepancy matrix, risk radar, and liquidation cascade tools because there are no live positions yet.
Only ~35 stocks currently have an on-chain price feed on Robinhood Chain. The highest-fee names the screener surfaces cannot become markets until those feeds exist and are registered.
$INVR launched October 15. Utility is staged: Plus access now, staking tiers next, then liquidity rewards for the synthetics before mainnet minting opens.
5/ The design choices that stood out:
The vault docs are clear about what the contracts cannot do. No admin, no pause, no ability to move collateral. That reduces the usual risk that comes with synthetic systems.
The analytics are public and usable now. Most people only discover a high borrow fee after they try to place the trade. The screener and bot surface it first.
The testnet lets anyone walk through the full mint and repay flow with test funds before real money is involved.
4/ What’s already live:
→ Borrow Screener ranking ~19,000 US stocks by borrow fee and share availability → Quant Terminal showing the spread between TradFi borrow fees and the 0% vault fee → INVARA Insights Telegram bot (/top, /fee, /watch, /position) → Testnet vault with verified source code (claim tUSDG, mint iAAPL, monitor ratio, repay and withdraw)
INVARA Plus (hold 100,000 $INVR) unlocks higher limits and faster checks in the bot. Nothing is locked or transferred.
3/ The thesis is straightforward.
Shorting a hard-to-borrow stock in traditional markets can cost tens or hundreds of percent a year in borrow fees. Some exceed 1,000%.
Minting the synthetic on INVARA Core carries no vault fee.
Around the vault sits a live analytics suite built to surface those gaps before anyone has to trade them.
2/ INVARA Core is a non-custodial synthetic equity vault on Robinhood Chain.
You lock USDG as collateral and mint synthetic tokens that track real stock prices. First market is iAAPL, priced by the on-chain AAPL/USD feed.
The vault is immutable: → No admin keys → No upgrade keys → No pause switch → No one can move user collateral
Vault fees are 0%. You only pay gas.
