10x engineers Founders if you ever come across this rare breed of engineers, grab them. If you have a 10x engineer as part of your first few engineers, you increase the odds of your startup success significantly. OK, here is a tough question. How do you spot a 10x engineer?

👏 @EdinburghUni thank you for Google Maps without cookies (and other 3rd party "wrappers"). I don't really need that personalisation in my site's map. Helps a lot! uwp.is.ed.ac.uk/3rd-party-wi… Also kudos to @CookiebotCybot for explaining my used cookies.

A classic worthy of remembering... 😅😅 Are your names expressive yet simple enough?🤔 (personally, I had renamed a dozen of classes after seeing this picture😁) Source: ProgrammingHorror

Wow! I had no idea you could use the property "document.designMode" to make your whole document editable! ✍️ Great to test different texts!! ✨

Changes Panel in Chrome DevTools: See CSS and JS changes in a git-like diff while editing in the browser. Prototyping way easier. Love it. umaar.com/dev-tips/137-chang…

„identify relevant expertise BEFORE the meeting, [..] and moderate the discussion in a way to account for that“ I like that. Guess it’s often times not easy to identify exactly what you need. Otherwise you could write an email instead of having a meeting.

Also, regarding the Social Desirability Bias and missing TDD b/c of business pressure... the reason for missing tests can as well be a lack of personal time management/skills. If writing the code takes too much time, then obviously there’s no time for tests 😅

In January, I moved my blog to the new domain phauer.com. Some days later my traffic dropped to 30%! Now, 4 months later, I finally have the same traffic as before the migration. Bottom line: Changing a domain is expensive and link juice needs time to come back. #SEO
