For many, CPR will be appropriate (cardiac arrest) but it won’t be for all (natural dying). JRCALC Guidance supports ambulance clinicians to make a clinical decision to not start CPR in the absence of a DNACPR, but education and support also so important 1/6

What happened to #Eriksen is EXACTLY what CPR was invented for… a heart stopping suddenly in an otherwise healthy body. Whereas if someone’s heart stops because other parts of the body are malfunctioning , that’s ordinary dying. And CPR is not a treatment for ordinary dying.

Another 24/7 PAD site in Porthcawl. Thanks to all involved! It’s nice to see the pupils raising money for the AED and supporting their community. Hopefully with some agreed future engagement sessions we will see some future CFR’s or WAST employees! @WelshAmbulance @porthcawlcfr
