Sometimes I just have to shake my head.
Office user: “Estates. Can we have a new lock cylinder please?”
Estates: “Yes, no problem, be there in an hour.”
Risk - gone.

A very serious subject but sometimes you have to laugh at the irony!

Spotted this kitchen fire door wedged open today in a well know Supermarket cafe what’s more worrying the fact the door was wedged open or the fact the fire door keep shut sign had been removed from the door! #scary #firedoors #keepclosed

Our crews, returning from a Safe and Well visit, were blocked twice on the same road in Bordesley Green due to inconsiderate parking.
If they had been responding to an incident, the delay could of cost lives.
PLEASE consider access for 999 vehicles when parking.

If you think the building you're living in, working in or visiting has a faulty fire door, don't walk by. Report it to whoever manages or owns the building. You could save a life that day. #FireDoorSafetyWeek

It’s only 1 door!
A fire door.
In a ‘plant room’.
Where the electrics are (415v).
Possibly like this for weeks.
But of course fires only start when and where it’s convenient...
No compromise - close every door!

You may be tempted to prop open a fire door during the hot weather. Try to avoid doing this as during a fire the fire door will not be able to do its job, which is to protect you from a fire and the effects of smoke. #FireSafety 🌞#wednesdaythoughts

The crew from Leamington have been testing key techniques for water rescues. This is particularly relevant during this hot spell where people are tempted to swim in open water to try and cool down, not being aware of the full dangers that may lie beneath. #Waterrescue
