It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sirjang "Jugi" Tandon. Jugi's influence on technology and industry was unparalleled. After arriving in the United States from India as a college student with nothing more than $28, a tremendous work ethic and grand ambitions, he would go on to pioneer storage technology, establishing the #1 maker of disk drives. A true visionary whose technology laid the foundation for tech innovation, he built his business from the ground up and was named to Forbes' list of the 400 richest Americans by age 41.
But beyond that, Jugi was warm, thoughtful and engaging. A family man who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
We at the HyperChain X Community extend our deepest condolences to Jugi's family and we look forward to honoring his contributions to the digital world and commemorating his legacy soon.
