Utterly harrowing hearing @FarsakhNebal of @PalestineRCS recall Israel’s killing of 5yr old Palestinian Hind Rajab in Gaza, her 15yr old cousin Layan, their family, & Yusuf & Ahmad, two paramedics who came to rescue after that haunting phone call, to MPs. Zero accountability.

PCRC's @VelmaSaric and @tatjana677 took part last week in the “Reconciliation in the Western Balkans” conference, organized by @AspenGermany. As a stakeholder in the #BerlinProcess, PCRC joined experts and decision-makers to explore reconciliation within the framework of EU enlargement, transitional justice, and remembrance. Our recommendations included stronger support for de-segregation of schooling, more regional CSO cooperation, and direct approaches to dealing with the past as part of the #EU accession processes for Western Balkan countries. #PCRCBiH

It's been 8 years since HMG published its Hate Crime Action Plan. It expired in 2020. As divisions & hostilities deepen, we need a renewed evidence-based response to hate. 📢 To fill this gap, we're launching a national consultation with @HateCrime_Leics protectionapproaches.org/mfc

#TransgenderPeople in #Bosnia and Herzegovina face significant challenges in healthcare, legal recognition, and social acceptance. Although legal gender recognition is possible, it requires full medical transition, which is often financially and logistically inaccessible due to limited healthcare support and high costs for procedures that are not covered by insurance. Social acceptance remains low, with the majority of the population either unaware of or opposed to trans rights, further complicating efforts to secure legal and healthcare advancements. While local and regional organizations work to support trans communities, international support is essential yet can also reinforce dependency on foreign aid, fueling nationalist criticisms. The UK government is consistently failing to protect Palestinians and is complicit in Israel's war crimes. Put pressure on them to take urgent action: map.org.uk/campaigns/norther…
Quote from Rohan Talbot, Medical Aid for Palestinians Director of Advocacy & Campaigns: Israel has crossed every imaginable red line in its all-out war on Palestinians. From bombing and starvation, to systematically dismantling the health system, to now outlawing the UN agency on which millions of Palestinians depend for their most basic survival needs, Israel is attacking the very foundations of Palestinian survival in Gaza and, increasingly, across the region. The continued failure by the UK government to meaningfully counteract this rank illegality and protect Palestinians from Israel's atrocities is inexcusable. This complicity must end.

Northern Gaza is under a tightened siege! Surrounded by Israeli forces, with many of those who try to flee being shot at. Children are being bombed while they play on street corners. Tell your MP we will not stay silent while #Gaza is erased 👇 map.org.uk/NorthernGazaUnder…

Another night of horror in the #Gaza Strip. A strike hit a hospital courtyard, burning the tents where people were sleeping. Just before this, an @UNRWA school sheltering families was hit in Nuseirat. That same school was going to be used as a #polio vaccination site today.

🧵on my latest - Community kitchens and ERRs have received a lot of praise as one of few safeguards to widespread famine. But they’re chronically underfunded + coming under increasing attack from the RSF, who are robbing, beating, and sometimes killing volunteers.
