Was extremely honored to be judging this year's Hackathon organized by @ICONHackathon @ICONDAO. Congrats to the winners! Most importantly, thank you to all the participants.
Some quick thoughts/advice:
Focus on doing one thing very very well. Don’t try to do/solve everything.
Fresh and creative ideas do help grab immediate attention. But need to answer, "Why is this a game-changer?"
A solid, written explainer is a must have. Short and concise bullet points do the job, esp. teams w/o native English. No long, wordy essays please.
Diagrams and screenshots definitely help and I feel like it's almost a must have.
Video or live demo is a plus but a bad one is worse than not having one.
Show proof of work (e.g. codes, designs). Dead hyperlinks not good.
