If something like the Internet Computer Protocol doesn’t succeed, I don’t see how Web3, crypto, DeFi… or even parts of Web2 don’t start to fall apart. Because the same problem exists everywhere. Web2 is built on complex, fragile infrastructure, heavily dependent on third-party vendors, constantly expanding the attack surface. “Web3” is mostly built on top of that same infrastructure. So all the dependencies, all the attack surfaces, all the vulnerabilities… they never actually go away. And we’re already seeing it. Cybercrime is rising fast. Hacks. Exploits. Drains. Data breaches. Constantly. Now add AI into that equation: faster attacks automated exploits scalable cybercrime Traditional cybersecurity can't keep up. At some point, it breaks. People stop trusting DeFi Systems fail more often Breaches increase And everything built on that foundation gets exposed If the foundation doesn’t change, nothing else matters. This isn’t just a Web3 problem. It’s an internet infrastructure problem. The solution is actually pretty simple: A less complex, more unified web stack Fewer dependencies Smaller attack surface Apps running in a tamper-resistant environment The Internet Computer Protocol internetcomputer.org Data source: sosafe-awareness.com/resourc…

The AI cybersecurity arms race is broken. @dominic_w asks: what happens when your defensive AI misses a vulnerability? He explains why @dfinity sees $ICP’s tamper-resistant infrastructure as a different starting point. #ai #Crypto #hack

🚨💀The entire crypto space is going to ZERO. The world's largest crypto exchange hit by what is the largest hack in crypto history. And in my opinion, things are only going to get worse. Good luck building trust and achieving mass adoption when billions can disappear through compromised infrastructure. But here's the absolute irony of this entire situation. The technology that could help solve these problems is BLOCKCHAIN ITSELF. Yet nobody wants to talk about it because everyone's too busy fighting over their favorite tokens. And I get the tribalism. Most chains are competing for the same piece of the pie. Transactions, tokens, and financial applications. But look at the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). Chain-key cryptography. Threshold signatures. Decentralized infrastructure. Onchain applications. Multi-approver governance. Entire exchanges running onchain. ICP has technology that could directly address the centralized signing and infrastructure vulnerabilities behind many major crypto hacks, eliminating certain single points of failure rather than endlessly patching them. And that's just ONE of its use cases. We're talking about a blockchain capable of running full-stack applications, decentralized cloud infrastructure, sovereign AI, websites, and much more. So you have two choices. Sit back, keep fighting over your bags, and watch the industry's credibility go to zero. Or start talking about actual solutions that could make blockchain technology safer, more useful, and capable of real-world mass adoption. Start talking about ICP.

Everyone's screaming, "Exchanges are getting hacked! Hardware wallets aren't safe! Hot wallets aren't either! WHERE ARE WE SUPPOSED TO STORE OUR CRYPTO?!" Here's a thought. Why not use the same properties that make blockchain networks so resilient and safe to secure the actual wallets, exchanges, and infrastructure handling our money? Build it ALL onchain. Frontend, backend, data, and secure signing. Eliminate entire categories of Web2 attack surfaces. This is what ICP makes possible. The NNS is entirely on-chain. @oisy wallet is entirely on-chain. They use the same technology that makes blockchain so powerful for the entire stack. Yet nobody wants to talk about it. Stop fighting over tokens and start talking about solutions. Start talking about REAL Web3. Start talking about ICP.
So let me get this straight CEXs aren't safe Self custody isn't safe What is safe? 😅

🚨Binance hit! Largest hack in crypto history!🚨 But you know what's ironic about all of this? The entire industry won't shut up about blockchain being decentralized, tamper-resistant, immutable, and the future of technology. Yet apparently those properties only matter when we're moving tokens around. Why the hell aren't we using blockchain technology to secure the actual infrastructure those tokens depend on? Most exchanges still rely heavily on Web2 infrastructure, with all its traditional attack surfaces. Meanwhile, ICP lets you build the frontend, backend, and persistent data entirely onchain, eliminating certain infrastructure dependencies and reducing entire categories of attack surfaces. It won't prevent every exploit, but isn't this EXACTLY the kind of problem blockchain technology should be helping solve? We're sitting here hyping the security benefits of blockchain while barely discussing using those same properties to secure the applications handling billions of dollars. How ridiculous is that?

The Internet Computer is now a connector in Claude. Search for it in Claude's connectors, connect it once, and start prompting. Set up a cloud engine for your business, launch a client portal, keep building, all from the same conversation. Build on the Internet Computer directly from @claudeai.

"uncensored","private",“available to everyone” that's not a defender's toolkit, that's an attacker's, sold by Jasnah Inc. (aka NEAR.AI) through an API. "secure enclaves" is intel TDX, which TEE.fail opened for under $1,000 last october. The data centers are under NDA so private from you, not from them. So basically: Jasnah Inc. hosting other people's open-weight models on phala's stack and intel/nvidia chips. What does any of that have to do with $NEAR, besides a web2 company Jasnah Inc accepting the token as payment?

Full-stack on ICP (2026): Frontend: → React / Next.js / Vite / Svelte (static build) → Served directly from a canister with certified responses Auth & calls: → Internet Identity (passkeys / Google / Apple) → @icp-sdk/auth + agent Backend + state: → Motoko or Rust canisters (ic-cdk) → Canisters hold logic + data (orthogonal persistence) Storage: → On-chain stable memory (up to 500 GiB per canister) → No external IPFS/Arweave needed for app data Testing & tools: → PocketIC / local replica → icp-cli + icp new → ICP Ninja (browser IDE) Extras: → HTTPS outcalls → Chain-key signatures to other chains → Timers → Reverse gas (users usually pay nothing) NEAR needs external RPCs, indexers, separate hosting, and off-chain storage for anything real. ICP runs the frontend, backend, and data as canisters on the network. One is obviously the actual full-stack. $ICP
Full-Stack $NEAR development (2026): Frontend: → HTML → Tailwind / CSS → JavaScript / TypeScript → React / Next.js Wallet login & contract calls: → NEAR Connect → near-api-js v7 / near-kit → near-connect-hooks (React) Backend (smart contracts): → Rust and near-sdk-rs → cargo-near → near-cli-rs Testing: → cargo test → near-sandbox → near-mock Storage: → Onchain (storage staking) → IPFS / Filecoin / Arweave RPC: → FastNEAR / Lava / dRPC / QuickNode Wallet: → HOT / Meteor / Intear Libraries: → NEAR Intents 1Click SDK → chainsig.js (Chain Signatures) → Privy (social login) Data: → Goldsky / NEAR Lake → FastNEAR API / NearBlocks API Tools: → NearBlocks / Pikespeak → create-near-app → Git & GitHub BOOKMARKED :)

Why not use the same properties of blockchain tech to make things more secure. Image an exchange 100% on the blockchain. Tamper-resistant and resilient.

The stakes have never been higher. AI and Cloud are rapidly climbing up the list of priorities for boardrooms around the world. What they do next will be of utmost importance.
Control over cloud infrastructure is becoming a boardroom issue, and two pressures are driving it. Geopolitical tension means governments want certainty that foreign powers cannot access their data or cut off their infrastructure. And AI is taking a growing role in building and running online services, on infrastructure designed for human developers and sysadmins. Erika Masako Welch's article in @EntMagazineME brings both front and centre, following Dominic Williams and cloud engines on the Internet Computer. teapawt.net/EntMagazineME/status/2…
